The Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos battle it out on Monday Night at Mile High Stadium. Both teams are in separate spots in their respective divisional races, so let’s check in on these teams.
The Browns are 3-8 on the season, but do have two big divisional wins over their last four games. They beat both the Steelers and Ravens in the Dawg Pound recently, but they are just 1-4 on the road this season. Sure, they are coming off a mini bye week prior to facing the Broncos, but Bo Nix is leading this team very well in his rookie season.
Denver is 7-5 on the season, just one game behind the Los Angeles Chargers for 2nd place in the AFC West. There is still plenty of playoff hope for the home team tonight, and after winning two straight, you would think they’ll carry that momentum into this one against an inferior opponent. But Jameis Winston might have some magic left in the tank. Let’s dive in and find out!

Will Browns Pull Off Road Upset?
The Browns don’t have much to play for anymore. They are nursing plenty of injuries, are at the bottom of the division, and have an incredibly difficult and specific route to the playoffs that is way beyond their control. It might be time to regroup for next season.
Cedric Tillman, who has seriously stepped up in the passing game, is out for tonight’s game, as well as LT Jedrick Wills Jr. Defensively they will be without FS Juan Thornhill, which may open things up for Nix in the secondary. The Browns have struggled on both sides of the ball, especially on the road. Plus they face a highly motivated Broncos team that is cruising recently.
Denver has put up 29 and 38 points in the past two weeks, winning four of their last six games, with losses @ Kansas City and @ Baltimore. They head into a bye week following this game, and I expect Sean Payton to have the offense ready to roll for this showdown at home before the break. Denver is 3-2 at home this season, losing to the Chargers and Steelers earlier this year.
But I like the way Bo Nix is playing, I have little faith in the Browns defense to slow them down, and I will backing the Broncos offense on the betting board tonight.
Cleveland Browns vs Denver Broncos Best Bets
Cleveland Browns vs Denver Broncos Prediction: Broncos Win & Cover, Over 41.5
Best Bet: Broncos TT Over 23.5 (-130) Bovada
Denver only scores 22 points per game this season, but that number is up to 24.4 at Mile High Stadium. That number is also inflated to 27 points per game over the past 3 weeks, and 25.3 over the past 6 weeks. Points being, the Broncos offense has found a rhythm, and with the playoffs still very much alive, this could be a game where they leave it all on the field before the bye.
Cleveland is in the Bottom 10 in terms of scoring defense, giving up over 24 points per contest with that number rising slightly on the road. Recently they have allowed 35 points to the Saints in NOLA, 20 to the Eagles in Philly, and 34 to the Commanders in D.C. Sure the offense looks better with Winston running the show, but the defense has been iffy all season long, especially against competent offenses on the road.
Give me the Broncos to put up 24 points tonight with ease against the a bad Cleveland defense.
