See Picks & Statistics For The GameThe 2023 NFL Week 8 lineup is filled with rivalry matchups, including one involving a pair of AFC West foes. The Kansas City Chiefs look to extend their winning streak to seven games when they pay a visit to the sub-.500 Denver Broncos on Sunday at 4:25 p.m. ET.
The Chiefs earned their sixth consecutive victory in the form of a 31-17 effort against the Los Angeles Chargers at home. The Broncos, meanwhile, got back into the win column with a 19-17 victory over the Green Bay Packers, led by kicker Wil Lutz connecting on four field goals.
Bovada’s futures odds highlight how the AFC West has become a one-team race. Kansas City is heavily favored to win the division at -2000 odds while Denver occupies the bottom spot at +8000.
Nevertheless, anything can happen when these rivals collide on Sunday. Here’s a full preview for Week 8’s Chiefs vs. Broncos clash, including the latest NFL odds, a prediction, and the best betting picks.

Chiefs vs Broncos Prediction & Best Bet — NFL Week 8
While some rivalries tend to go back and forth, this AFC West feud isn’t one of them.
The Chiefs have been getting the best of the Broncos for years now. Kansas City has won 16 consecutive meetings against Denver, having not lost to its divisional rival since September 2015.
To get a better idea about how long ago that was, it was the last season that the Broncos made the playoffs — the same one that they won Super Bowl 50 with Peyton Manning.
So yeah, playing at Mile High — where the Chiefs have won eight straight games by an average of 12.4 points — won’t be a problem for Patrick Mahomes & Co. It also helps that Kansas City is on a 10-game winning streak on the road dating back to last season.
The Broncos, meanwhile, have struggled on home turf this year. Sure, they defeated the Packers in Denver last week, but Green Bay has been awful. The fact remains that the Broncos are 1-3 with a minus-2.8 average scoring margin (10th-worst) at home in 2023.
The Chiefs have been playing too well on both sides of the ball to be slowed down by a team like the Broncos. During the six-game winning streak, Kansas City is scoring 26.3 PPG while only allowing 14.0 PPG, prevailing by a two-possession average.
Although the Chiefs haven’t exactly been facing the “who’s who” of the NFL during that span, the fact that they didn’t allow more than 20 points in any of those contests can’t be ignored.
I just can’t see QB Russell Wilson leading the Broncos to a comeback if they fall behind. The Chiefs allow the sixth-fewest passing yards on the sixth-worst completion rate while being tied for the seventh-most sacks in the NFL.
On top of that, Andy Reid’s team has only allowed eight passing TDs with five interceptions this season. For reference, the Broncos have surrendered an NFL-high 16 TDs through the air.
Even considering a Broncos upset is pointless. The Chiefs’ winning ways have cemented themselves as contenders, once again, and won’t have an issue disposing of their lowly AFC West rivals on the road come Sunday.
Kansas City’s offense will take advantage of Denver’s lackluster defense early on, creating an insurmountable lead that the home team won’t be able to battle back from.
Chiefs vs Broncos Prediction: Chiefs 26, Broncos 13
Bet: Chiefs -7 (-110 on Bovada)
Chiefs vs Broncos Prop Bet – NFL Week 8
With the success he’s seen, I love the idea of a Travis Kelce anytime touchdown for my favorite Chiefs vs. Broncos prop bet.
Kelce has been a touchdown machine. He’s found the end zone in four of his six outings this far, which includes last week when he also racked up 179 yards on 12 catches. It’s safe to say the Taylor Swift effect is paying off.
The veteran tight end now gets a juicy matchup against the Broncos. Not only is Denver allowing the most receiving yards and fifth-most receptions to TEs, but they’ve also let the position score three touchdowns this season.
With the Chiefs looking to run away with the division, expect big things from Kelce.
Best Bet: Travis Kelce Anytime Touchdown (-125 on Bovada)
