See Picks & Statistics For The GameWeek 14 of the 2022 NFL season has several interesting matchups on the schedule, including an AFC West rivalry match between the Kansas City Chiefs and Denver Broncos. These two teams were supposed to duke it out for the top spot in the division this year, but that hasn’t been the case due to the latter’s shortcomings, making it interesting to see how this Chiefs vs Broncos showdown plays out.
The Chiefs were riding high on a five-game winning streak before suffering a 27-24 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals last week. Kansas City has a chance to clinch the AFC West this weekend, so look for Patrick Mahomes and co. to try and bounce back with a strong start.
Meanwhile, the Broncos were busy picking up their fourth straight loss in Week 13. They came up short against the Baltimore Ravens, 10-9, marking the third time in the last four tries that the Broncos have finished with 10 or fewer points. Considering how great the Chiefs have looked this season, a similar effort won’t work at all come Sunday.
Betting News has gathered the latest Chiefs vs Broncos odds from BetOnline Sportsbook to help shed some light on the situation, along with a prediction and best bets for the NFL Week 14 game.

Kansas City Chiefs vs Denver Broncos Prediction and Picks
Chiefs vs Broncos Prediction: Chiefs 24, Broncos 13
Chiefs vs Broncos Picks: Chiefs -9.5 (Best Value: -110 at BetOnline) & Under 43.5 Points (Best Value: -115 at BetOnline)
The Chiefs are the clear-cut favorites in this matchup and it isn’t even close. The current AFC West leaders have -430 moneyline odds to win on Sunday, equating to an implied probability of 81.1%.
Such lopsided odds shouldn’t come as a surprise, though. After all, the three guarantees in life have been as follows lately: death, taxes and the Chiefs owning the Broncos.
Kansas City has beaten Denver 13 straight times ahead of this matchup, dating back to November 2015. You have to go back to Week 1 of the 2015 season to find the last time that the Broncos beat their rivals. Making matters even worse, Peyton Manning was under center for that victory, highlighting just how long it’s been.
On top of that, you need to go to September 2014 for the last time that the Broncos beat the Chiefs in the Mile High City. Unfortunately for Denver fans, I don’t see that trend changing this week.
Simply put, there’s little reason to believe that the Broncos can pull off an upset. The Chiefs have been one of the top teams throughout the 2022 campaign, pacing the league in points (29.2 PPG) and total yards (423.3) while sitting fifth with a plus-5.7 scoring margin.
On the other hand, the Russell Wilson experiment has flopped in Denver thus far. Instead of taking the Broncos’ offense to the next level, he’s struggled to look like himself. As a result, the Broncos average just an NFL-worst 13.8 PPG, having been held to 17 or fewer points on 10 different occasions.
For reference, the Chiefs have only been held to under 20 points once this season.
It’s also worth highlighting that Mahomes is a perfect 9-0 in his career when it comes to Chiefs vs Broncos matchups. The 2018 NFL MVP averages 2,279 passing yards and a 65.4% completion rate against Denver, also tossing out 12 touchdown passes to four interceptions over that stretch.
With the Chiefs looking to take out their aggression after last week’s loss to the Bengals, it’s tough imagining the Broncos keeping up. As solid as their defense can be at times, they just don’t have the firepower to match a determined Mahomes.
At the end of the day, the Chiefs are going to win this one and it won’t exactly be close. A 9.5-point spread seems daunting, but the truth is that Kansas City has won by double-digits seven times during its 13-game winning streak over Denver, including in four times in the last six meetings.
Furthermore, the Chiefs are also 10-3 against the spread (ATS) in those 13 games, while the Broncos are just 1-3 ATS during their four-game losing streak this fall.
I also see the total going under 43.5 points. The Chiefs’ offense might be elite, but the Broncos’ lethargic attack has me doubting that the over can be hit. Besides, the total has gone under in six of the last eight games between these two rivals.
