Cardinals @ Packers Analysis & Breakdown
Jordan Love got his first win of the season last week and the Packers look hungry for more. Green Bay was in the City of Angels last week, taking on the Rams at SoFi Stadium. The Packers entered the game as a 3-point favorite, but went into the half down 3 points.
Love and company would score 14 points in the 3rd quarter and let the defense handle the rest. He threw for 224 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win; 3 if you count the touchdown he threw to the Rams defense.
Love’s averaging 291 pass yards per game with 7 touchdowns on the year and 5 interceptions. If he gets his turnovers under control, this Packers team could be a force to be reckoned with.
On the other side of the ball, we’ve got the Arizona Cardinals.
The Cards are coming off a huge win against their division rival, the 49ers. Arizona entered the half down 23-10 and it looked to be all but over. The 49ers were shutout in the 2H, giving up 14 points 2H points to Arizona and letting them steal the win.
Kyler Murray’s averaging just 194.4 yards through the air this. year, but he’s thrown 7 touchdowns and just 2 interceptions.
Murray and the Cardinals have already won 2 more games than anyone thought they would going into Week 6, can they steal another one in Green Bay?
Josh Jacobs o66.5 Rushing Yards (-114) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. Josh Jacobs has filled our pockets so far this year and we’re going right back to him against the Cardinals.
Last week in Jordan Love’s 2nd game back from injury and the Packers ran the ball 30 times; 25 of those carries went to the team’s running backs and 19 of those carries went to Jacobs.
It was Love’s lowest number of pass attempts this year, his lowest number of passing yards and it came against a bottom ranked Rams’ pass defense. Matt LaFleur’s offense depends on the run game, it opens up everything else for this Packers’ team.
This year the Packers’ rank yards per carry, 5.2 YPC; they rank 3rd in rush yards per game and 5th in rushing attempts per game.
Jacobs has been great in his first year with the Packers, averaging 18 carries per game, 80.4 yards per game and he finally got into the endzone last week. He saw a 75% snap share last week in LA and this week the Packers are coming home.
Arizona’s ranked near the bottom in rush yards allowed to running backs; giving up 122.4 yards per game to opposing running backs and allowing 147.8 rush yards per game, overall.
The Cardinals are giving up 5.2 yards per carry over their L3 games and now face the most dynamic running back they’ve faced all year.

Cardinals vs. Packers u47.5 (-110) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
This one’s simple, the Packers have 3 wins this year, all 3 wins have included them holding their opponents to 19 points or less. Last week the Packers gave up 13 points in the 1H but gave up just 6 points in the 2H.
It’s been a common theme for the Packers, in Week 4 against the Vikings, the Packers gave up 28 1H points but just a field goal in the entire 2H. Green Bay would lose to the Vikings by just 2 points, with 2 missed field goal attempts in the 1H.
Starting cornerback for the Packers, Jaire Alexander has been out the last two weeks but was back on the practice field this week and should be able to suit up for this week’s clash with the Cardinals.
Even if Jaire doesn’t play, I wouldn’t worry; the Packers have had another stand-out corner make big plays again and again. Xavier McKinney has 5 interceptions through 5 games this year, already matching his career high for a single season.
Everyone wants to talk about Jordan Love, or Matt LaFleur and this offense; but it’s this defense that has come up BIG in every single win they’ve got this year.
