See Picks & Statistics For The GameHeading into tonight’s MNF tilt at Tennessee, the Buffalo Bills are on a major roll. That opening loss to Pittsburgh is looking like just a blip with how dominant the Bills have been since. The Arizona Cardinals are the only undefeated team in the NFL, but the Bills have a fair argument to be considered the best team in the league.
Tennessee is in control of the AFC South, but that is essentially by default. That division is a mess, and the Titans are the only team above .500.
Winning on the road is never easy, but the Bills go to Nashville after a huge road win over Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs. This week, they face the challenge of taking on the NFL’s most powerful running back in Derrick Henry.

Buffalo Bills vs Tennessee Titans Betting Outlook
The Bills might not have a perfect record, but they are first in both scoring offense and scoring defense, so I think they can make a claim as the best team in the league right now.
Last week they went to Kansas City and beat the Chiefs by 18 points with QB Josh Allen throwing for 3 TDs and running for another score. He is playing at such a high level right now that the Bills would be tough to beat even if they weren’t playing such stingy defense. This is a second straight road game against a quality team, so it will test their resolve.
The Bills have posted two shutouts, blanking the Dolphins in Miami and Houston at home. Even though those two teams are not among the NFL’s elite, those are impressive results because shutouts are not very common in the NFL.
Along with topping the league in scoring defense, Buffalo’s defense tops the charts in fewest yards allowed. Linebacker Matt Milano is an underrated part of their success, and it looks like he will play on Monday after not playing against the Chiefs due to a hamstring injury. Two rookies, defensive ends Gregory Rousseau and Boogie Basham, are leading the team in sacks. They have succeeded in getting more pass rush this season, but now those guys are going to have to hold up against the run in Nashville.
Tennessee Looks to Rough Up AFC’s Best
If the Titans want to be considered a real threat in the AFC, this is a game for them to prove it. Buffalo is coming to town, and the Bills look like the best team in the conference so beating them would make a statement.
Like last season, the Titans are proving to be a formidable offensive team. Henry is still running around and through people, while QB Ryan Tannehill passes just enough to keep teams honest. The Titans are ninth in scoring and might be even higher with better health. Injuries to receivers Julio Jones and AJ Brown might be slowing the passing game as much as the change at offensive coordinator.
Defense is again a struggle for the Titans though, as they are among the league’s worst in yards and points. Buffalo’s offense is going to be a major test, and you have to worry the output might look a lot like the first game of the season when they gave up 38 points to the Cardinals. That game was at home too. Outside linebacker Harold Landry has been supplying some pass rush, and they need to find a way to confuse Allen or get him on the ground. Both would be preferred, but it won’t be easy.
NFL Betting Trends to Consider for Buffalo Bills vs Tennessee Titans
- Buffalo is 4-0 ATS in their last four games after accumulating more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
- The Bills are 4-0 ATS in their last four games after allowing more than 350 total yards in their previous game.
- The Bills are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games after scoring more than 30 points in their previous game.
- Tennessee is 7-2 ATS in their last nine Monday games.
- The Titans are 5-2 ATS in their last seven games after allowing more than 250 yards passing in their previous game.
- The Titans are 10-25-1 ATS in their last 36 games after allowing more than 150 yards rushing in their previous game.
Buffalo Bills vs Tennessee Titans Best Bet
Buffalo -5.5
This handicap is pretty simple. I believe in the Bills completely, on offense and defense. As for Tennessee, the only thing you have to fear is the running of Henry. The Bills will get a lead, which will put the Titans in a bind, especially with their limited options at receiver right now. This game should be comfortable for Buffalo throughout.
Prop Watch: Emmanuel Sanders Anytime TD Scorer
Sanders is the leading touchdown maker among Buffalo’s receivers (only TE Dawson Knox has more). He gets a little lost out there with Allen a threat to run and Stefon Diggs running all over the field. Allen has developed a nice rapport with his number two, and they should get into the end zone again tonight.
Buffalo Bills vs Tennessee Titans Score Prediction
Buffalo Bills 31, Tennessee Titans 19
