Browns vs. Raiders Analysis & Breakdown
The Raiders were riding high after their Week 2 win over the Baltimore Ravens, but quickly came back down to earth last week against the Panthers. Minshew threw for just 214 yards and recorded a season low 64% completion rate.
Andy Dalton made just his second start over the last two seasons, he recorded 319 yards and threw 3 touchdowns against this Raiders defense. Now in Week 4, the Raiders will be without their best defensive player, Maxx Crosby.
On the other side of the ball this week, it’ll be the visiting Cleveland Browns; fresh off a loss against the New York Football Giants. The Browns’ defense has been decent but it’s their offense that has dropped the ball.
The Browns are averaging just 16.7 points per game and have been putting up just 248 total yards per game (31st). Cleveland’s been unable to move the ball through the air, averaging just 152.2 yards per game (30th).
With two kind of bad offenses here in Las Vegas, maybe we see some fireworks against some equally bad defenses.
Jerome Ford o43.5 Rushing Yards (-120) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
The Browns have made a lot of mistakes over the last 5-8 years; from letting Baker go, to signing Watson. The one thing the Browns do well, year in and year out, is run the ball. Last year Cleveland averaged 115 rush yards per game and 146.5 per game the year prior.
This year the Browns are averaging just 95.7 rush yards per game, ranked 23rd in the league.
Jerome Ford is the team’s current starter with Nick Chubb still currently on the sidelines, he’s averaging 48,3 yards per game but has yet to see more than 12 carries in a single game. Ford was hurt in Week 2, playing just 32 of the teams 60 offensive snaps.
Last week Ford returned to action, playing 53 of the team 65 offensive snaps against the Giants and he saw 10 of the team’s 12 rushing attempts.
The Browns have refused to run the ball through three weeks this year, averaging 38.7 pass attempts per game (2nd) and just 16 rush attempts per game to their running backs.
Cleveland’s starting quarterback Deshaun Watson is averaging just over 180 yards per game and he’s recorded a 57.8% completion rate (31st). Ford’s averaging 5 yards per carry this year and he’s cleared this line in 2 of his 3 games this year.
The Raiders defense ranks 30th against the run this year, allowing 152.2 rush yards per game with 133 of those rush yards going to the opponent’s running backs.
As long as the Browns do what they’re supposed to do, I love this spot for a Jerome Ford breakout, this week.

Brock Bowers o55.5 Receiving Yards (-120) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
The Raiders are beat up this week, no Maxx Crosby, no Michael Meyer and no Davante Adams. With so many people missing, the Raiders will need someone to step up in their absence if they hope to have a shot,
Brock Bowers registered 17 targets through Weeks 1 & 2, catching 15 of the passes for 156 receiving yards. Last week he caught just 3 of his 4 targets for 41 yards in a loss to the Carolina Panthers.
With everyone beat up, his backup also sidelined, Bowers target share should be right in line with what we need to get over this line.
