2022-23 NFL Over/Under Predictions
Cincinnati Bengals Over 9.5 Wins
The Bengals won 10 games last year while giving up the most sacks in the league. They have gone out and improved their offensive line drastically with the additions of La’el Collins, Ted Karras, and Alex Cappa. They have given Joe Burrow protection for the 2022 season.
The Bengals are coming off of their most successful season in franchise history. They broke the 31 year curse and finally won a playoff game. They followed that up with two more wins in the playoffs against the Tennessee Titans and Kansas City Chiefs. Cincinnati eventually lost in the Super Bowl to the Los Angeles Rams.
It isn’t a dream. The Bengals are back, and they have one of the most explosive offenses in the league. With an improved offensive line, the undervalued Bengals are a great bet to win 10+ games this year.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers Over 11.5 Wins
The Bucs will get a return from their most important player on the field. Tom Brady is set to begin his 23rd season in the NFL. The 7-time super bowl champion is ready to lead Tampa Bay to another deep playoff run.
The Buccaneers are the heavy favorite in a relatively weak NFC South division. They will get wins against division rivals, and they will play well against the rest of the NFC Conference.
I see Tampa Bay as a 12 or 13 win team this year, as they get a return from their star quarterback, and their defense has been tough to crack. The value is there for now, but as a heavy favorite in the NFC, I expect the value to decrease in the coming months.
Pittsburgh Steelers Under 7.5 Wins
The Steelers are dealing with an uncertain situation at quarterback. So far, the starter is set to be Mitch Trubisky. However, the Steelers drafted Kenny Pickett in the first round, and he will be in the conversation as the starter prior to Week 1.
Pittsburgh made the playoffs last season with quarterback Ben Roethlisberger under center, but they will be starting without him for the first time since 2003. In a highly competitive AFC North, the Steelers are going to have problems.
I don’t see Pittsburgh beating any of their divisional opponents this season. They are too unstable under center. With an even line at Over and Under, the best bet is to take the Under. It presents decent value, as Pittsburgh is set to struggle in the upcoming season.
