Will we see a team go 17-0 in 2022? Or will we see another season where everyone finishes with a similar record? The 2022 NFL regular season is just a month away, and there is a lot of talk about who will have the best record this season.
In 2021, the Buccaneers and Packers were tied for the best record in the NFL at 13-4. Both teams were eliminated in the Divisional Round of the playoffs, and they will look to turn their fortunes in the right direction this year.
The Packers and Bucs are expected to do well again this season, but everyone is trailing the Buffalo Bills who, according to BetOnline, have the best shot at the top record in the league.

2022 NFL Best Regular Season Record Favorites
Buffalo Bills +450
Josh Allen lead the Bills to the Divisional Round of the playoffs last year, but they were upended by the Kansas City Chiefs in a wild finish to the game. The Bills have some of the best young talent in the game, and their defense has been improving for the past few seasons.
The Bills are no longer a team to push under the rug and mark as a win on the calendar. The team is extremely dangerous late in the season, and if all goes to plan, they will repeat as AFC East champions.
There is only one automatic bye into the Divisional Round, but Buffalo seems to be the team to beat in the AFC. Even with the Chiefs, Bengals, and Chargers on the rise, Buffalo has exceeded all expectations and finally have the top spot in the odds.
Tampa Bay Buccaneers +500
If you have Tom Brady on your team, there is a pretty safe chance that you will be contending for the best record in the league each year. The Buccaneers were able to ride high into the playoffs last year with a tie for the best regular season record.
Even though the Bucs were defeated in the Divisional Round, they had a marvelous season to look back on. Tom Brady is still as sharp as ever, as he threw for over 5,000 yards in 2021, with a TD/INT ratio of 43/12.
The addition of Julio Jones to the offense will make the team even more dangerous in the passing game, and if everyone stays healthy, Brady may be playing for his 8th Super Bowl ring. Don’t sleep on the age of the Bucs, as they have proven each of the last two seasons that they can compete with the young dogs.
Green Bay Packers +700
Much like the Bucs, the Green Bay Packers have a quarterback that will adjust to any conditions and lead the team to the playoffs. Aaron Rodgers was able to get the Packers the #1 seed in the NFC last season, but ultimately the team fell flat against San Francisco in the Divisional Round.
The Packers lost DaVante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders during the offseason. This is a big blow for the Packers offense which leaned on Adams as their top receiver for the past 5 or 6 seasons. He finished with 11 TDs and over 1500 receiving yards in 2021, so his presence will be missed.
The Packers have some adjustments to make, as their offense will have to rely on a heavy dose of the rush to make any progress. Rodgers won’t be able to make receivers randomly appear on the field, so something will have to give in order for the Packers to have a chance at the #1 seed again.
