It is hard to knock UTSA’s statistical profile. They are 8-0 SU and 7-1 ATS. They are also winning by an average of 21 points per game and have really only had a couple of close calls. Their resume also includes a win over an Illinois team that has beaten Penn State.

RB Sincere McCormack is the name that some people know, but the fact that the Roadrunners are so good in so many areas is why their coach, Jeff Traylor, is a popular name in the college football coaching rumor mill.

UTSA was supposed to be pretty good this season, but the expectations were nowhere near that for UTEP. They are coming off of a loss to FAU, but the only other team to beat them this season is Boise State. The Miners are definitely more modest on offense, relying on a defense giving up just 20 points per game and holding opponents to under 100 yards rushing. They were roughed up by UTSA last season, so this game will be a nice indicator on how the program is really doing.
