The Coastal Carolina Chanticleers host the App State Mountaineers in a Thursday night Sun Belt showdown. The Mountaineers are coming off a hard-fought 28-20 win over Old Dominion, a game they probably should not have won. The Monarchs committed four turnovers but still outgained App State by over 100 yards.

Coastal Carolina, on the other hand, is struggling, having dropped their last three games both straight up (0-3) and against the spread (0-3). Their most recent win came four games ago against Old Dominion, a 45-37 victory as 4.5-point favorites. Back at home, this is a prime opportunity for the Chanticleers to get back on track against a team that benefited from the Monarchs’ mistakes last week.

The two teams are fairly evenly matched, but Coastal has the edge with a more explosive offense, ranked in the top 50 nationally. At home, the Chanticleers are averaging over 30 points per game, while App State manages just 25 on the road. The Mountaineers are also struggling defensively, ranking 11th worst in points allowed per game, giving up over 40 points on the road. Coastal should have the firepower to secure a win tonight. I like the underdog at home to cover the spread.

Bet: Rahjai Harris Over 73.5  Rush Yards (-114) on BetOnline

We’re back again, looking to exploit a defense that struggles to stop the run. Today, it’s Florida Atlantic facing off against Rahjai Harris, who leads East Carolina with over 550 rushing yards on just 120 carries. While the Pirates are more of a passing team—ranking 41st in pass attempts per game—Florida Atlantic’s defense is a glaring weakness, especially against the run. The Owls are the fifth-worst team in the nation at defending the run, allowing 243.4 yards per game, and on the road, they give up nearly 250 rushing yards per game.

Harris has been a bit up and down this season, averaging around 70 yards per game. He’s only surpassed 74 yards in three of the eight games he’s played. However, in two of those three games where he did go over, East Carolina came away with wins. With the Pirates often playing from behind, they’ve had to rely more on the passing game, but if Harris gets around 15 touches tonight, he should have a solid shot at covering the yardage prop. He’s done so with fewer attempts in the past, but 15 touches is the sweet spot for him to hit this mark.
