#11 USC vs #18 Michigan Must Bet Player Props
Must Bet Player Props: Jo’Quavious “Woody” Marks Over 18.5 Receiving Yards (-114) BetOnline
Mr. Marks is the running back for the Trojans, but he is very versatile. He’s been utilized out of the backfield as a receiver plenty, and I have faith that he will be able to clear this number for us tomorrow. Woody Marks has only cleared this line in 1 of 2 games this season despite totaling 46 receiving yards on the season, however, he does have 3 receptions in both contests.
It’s tough to run on the Wolverines’ defense, but Lincoln Riley will still look to get the ball to Marks and let him make some plays with his legs. Texas came into the Big House and tore apart this Michigan D, and I expect USC to do the same. Longhorns RB Jayden Blie caught 6 passes for 37 yards and a TD, and I see Marks having a similar workload through the air in this game.
I’ve also got a pick against the spread in this game, so be sure to check out my full preview below.
#12 Utah vs #14 Oklahoma State Must Bet Player Props
Must Bet Player Props: Micah Bernard Over 80.5 Rushing Yards (-114) BetOnline
This was a very tough game to cap, especially with the delicate status of Cam Rising. Despite whoever is taking the snaps for the Utes, I think Micah Bernard will see plenty of touches. If Rising plays, you want to protect him. If the freshman plays, even though he played well, you’ll still want to take some pressure off of him. Either of these options point towards tons of carries for Micah Bernard and against the Cowboys rushing defense, he might have a field day.
Bernard has had 38 carries the past two games, totaling 240+ yards. This Oklahoma State defense is allowing 175 rushing yards over game and over 4.4 per carry. With Bernard running for over 6.5 yards per touch, I expect the Utes to really milk the clock in this game and feed their experienced RB. He’s had 100+ yards in his last two contests, and even though this line is maybe a tad too high, I don’t mind paying for the inflation. Bernard will feast and find plenty of running room.
Be sure to check out my full article as I also have a play on a Team Total in this matchup.
#6 Tennessee vs #15 Oklahoma Must Bet Player Props
Must Bet Player Props: Jackson Arnold Over 25.5 (-125) BetOnline
Oklahoma has long been known as an air raid team. They sit back, have 5 athletes run crazy routes, and let their QB sit back and let it fly. That hasn’t been the case this season. The Sooners have 499 passing yards compared to 477 rushing yards this season. It is an extremely balanced attack, and their QB, Mr. Jackson Arnold, is their leading rusher.
He not only has the most yards at 159 and 2 TDs this season, but also has the most carries at 36. He’s averaging 12 carries for 53 yards per game so far this season, and I think he will be forced to scramble against the Vols defense. Tennessee only has 5 sacks this season, so I’m not too worried about Arnold getting sacked for negative yards. He’s smart in the pocket, isn’t afraid to move away from pressure, and of course can break off when he needs to. He’s coming off a game with 14 carries for 97 yards and 2 TDs, and he’s cleared this 25.5 number in all 3 games this season, running for 4.4 yards per carry. While this will be the toughest defense he has faced, Arnold will opt to use his legs and protect the ball instead of turning it over.
Against Tennessee, NC State QB, Grayson McCall ran 9 times for 6 yards, including being sacked 3 times. He is not as dangerous of a runner as Arnold. Like I mentioned, even with this ferocious Volunteers’ defense, I am not scared of Arnold being overly sacked. Give me this kid to try and will his Sooners to victory by any means necessary, even though I think Tennessee covers in this SEC Showdown.
