#4 Alabama vs Wisconsin Must Bet Player Props
Must Bet Player Props: Chez Mellusi Over 42.5 Rushing Yards (-114) BetOnline
Right hand up, this number has moved up to 47.5, but I think Mellusi gets to 50+ yards. He ran for 3.9 yards per carry against Western Michigan, totaling 74 yards and TD. Last weekend he had 16 carries for 60 yards and 2 TDs. Yes, Alabama’s defensive interior is much tougher, but they will need to establish the run to help take pressure off of Tyler Van Dyke.
Mellusi has seen 50% of the Badgers carries this season, and he is a threat to break off for a big one. I trust him to get enough touches to clear this low line, and would endorse the current market at 47.5. Read my full game analysis below!
West Virginia vs Pittsburgh Must Bet Player Props
Must Bet Player Props: Desmond Reid Over 89.5 Rushing Yards (-112) BetOnline
Desmond Reid has run all over opposing defenses, and I see him doing the same in this rivalry game. Back at home, the Panthers host the Mountaineers in the Backyard Brawl, and I’ll back Pittsburgh’s RB in this matchup. He’s already posted 145 yards in both games so far this season, and West Virginia can’t do much to stop the run. They’ve allowed 222 rushing yards per game this season, and over 5 yards per carry as the Nittany Lions ran all over them in their opening game.
With Eli Holstein at QB, the Panthers are a threat to throw the ball at all times. This will set up perfectly for some delayed runs for Reid to find a hole and make some plays in the open field. While 90 yards might be a lot, I expect the Panthers to dominate this game from start to finish, resulting in plenty of touches for the Pittsburgh running back. He has 33 carries this year compared to 12 total for the next two backs, leading me to have faith in him seeing the ball enough to cover this line for us.
I’ve also got a pick on a side and total in this matchup, so check out my full preview below!
Texas A&M vs Florida Must Bet Player Props
Must Bet Player Props: Montrell Johnson Jr. Under 63.5 Rushing Yards (-114) BetOnline
Yes, yes, we are taking an under. Wrapping up three rushing player props with an RB1’s under is never fun, but we’re going to do it anyways. You do not want to run against this Texas A&M Aggies front 7. They will simply make you pay. Sure, A&M is allowing around 200 rushing yards per game, but I don’t trust Florida’s offensive line against the Aggies interior defense. Montrell Johnson has cleared this line twice this season, posting 67 yards last week and 106 in Week 1 against Miami, but I see them having to play from behind. Without Mertz, DJ Lagway leads the offense, and he is enough of a threat with his legs by himself.
This should take away carries from Johnson, and open up some bootlegs and rollouts. If Florida has any success offensively, I see it being through the air. While Johnson has seen 13 touches per game, I could see that number dropping this week if they are forced to keep up with the Aggies. I trust this Texas A&M defense with my life, and think they tear apart the Gators O-Line, giving Johnson Jr. a rough day at the office.
