#3 Texas vs Arkansas Must Bet Player Props
Must Bet Player Props: Gunnar Helm Over 48.5 Receiving Yards (-114) BetOnline
Now, I was able to find 44.5 for (-121) so as always, shop around, but Gunnar Helm should get 50+ for us this Saturday.
He leads the Longhorns in both receptions and receiving yards this year, averaging 3.77 catches for 51.2 yards per game. Helm is a big play guy, going for over 13 yards per reception this season, and seeing multiple catches in all but 2 games. Now, Helm has a 22+ yard reception in 7/9 games this season, clearing 49+ yards in 4/9 games. He’s come very close quite a few times, finishing with 42 yards twice including last week, and 46 the week prior.
Recently he’s been very involved in the offense with 3+ catches in 5 straight games, and 5+ catches in 3 of those contests as well. The Longhorns are 12 point favorites on the road, and I’ll admit, they may be on upset alert in Fayetteville. Storms may be brewing for the Heartbreak Hogs, but regardless, I trust Helm to have a big game like he’s done this year.
Helm’s Stats in “Big” Games
- @ #10 Michigan: 7-98-1
- vs #18 Oklahoma: 5-91-1
- vs #5 Georgia: 6-62
- # #25 Vandy: 4-46
He had 3 catches for 42 yards and a TD last week against Florida, and I trust Ewers to find him this weekend. There should be tons of receiving yards to go around, as Arkansas ranks 129th (of 134) in passing yards allowed, giving up 284 per game and nearly 300 at home. They give up over 8 yards per attempt, with that number slightly inflating in Fayetteville. Last time out, the Hogs secondary was torched for 562 yards by Jaxson Dart and Ole Miss. This weekend, I see Ewers and/or Manning going off with plenty of connections to their Tight End.
Utah vs #17 Colorado Must Bet Player Props
Must Bet Player Props: Micah Bernard Over 80.5 Rushing Yards (-114) Bovada
Micah Bernard is a huge part of this Utah offense, and he is set to have a huge game against Colorado this weekend. He already averages 95.5 yards on 16.3 carries per game and runs for nearly 6 yards per attempt. He has four games with 100+ yards alreayd this season, and has gone over in 5/9 games. Bernard hasn’t cleared this line in 3 weeks, but finished with 78 yards last week.
He faces a terrible Colorado rushing defense allowing 150 rushing yards per game and over 4.5 per carry. Those numbers inflate to over 174 yards allowed at home, and they struggle to contain opponent RBs. Tahj Brooks and DJ Giddens each went for 130+ rushing yards while RJ Harvery and Dante Dowdell both went for 70+.
Bernard should see tons of touches to take pressure off the Utah QB, leading to tons of opportunities for him to go over this number.
Kansas vs #6 BYU Must Bet Player Props
Must Bet Player Props: Devin Neal Over 81.5 Rushing Yards (-114) BetOnline
We have a ladder opportunity here. I have a unit on Neal for 80+ yards at (-122) and another 0.5u on 100+ yards at (+150). He is set for a huge day.
The Jayhawks have a competed in every game despite their 3-6 record, and I could see them spoiling the Cougars perfect season this Saturday in Provo. Regardless, I love Neal to go off, especially against a terrible rushing defense.
This is a line Neal has cleared in 6/9 games, going for 100+ each time. In the games he hasn’t gone over, he’s ended with 68, 70, and 71 yards, coming up just a hair short. He saw 18 touches last week, the most since September, and I see him carrying a big workload this weekend. BYU allows 150 rushing yards per game, and over 200 at home. In terms of yards per carry, they allow close to 5.5 at home and fail to slow down dominant running backs.
Micah Bernard ran for 78 yards against BYU. RJ Harvey and Ollie Gordon both went for 100+ and 2 TDs, while DJ Giddens alos saw 93 yards on the ground in K-State’s loss. Give me Neal to see the ball plenty, and run wild against the Cougars this weekend.
