The Florida State Seminoles are set to host the Boston College Eagles, aiming to bounce back after their Week 0 loss to Georgia Tech in Ireland. Meanwhile, the Eagles are looking to make a statement and potentially upset the tenth-ranked Seminoles.

Boston College vs #10 Florida State Predictions
The Stank:
After a tough Week Zero loss to Georgia Tech in Dublin, the Florida State Seminoles seek redemption against Boston College on Monday evening.
Initially favored by 21.5 points on June 14th, the line has dropped to around 16. Despite this shift, I’m confident in the Seminoles.
With Florida State having a week of play under their belt compared to Boston College’s season opener, they should be well-prepared and energized. Historically, teams that played in Week Zero have covered the spread in their second game, and while it’s not a guarantee, that extra week of experience can make a difference.
Boston College will make their first appearance since their win over SMU at the Wasabi Fenway Bowl. Despite that bowl victory, the Eagles had one of the worst pass defenses in college football last season, ranking 128th out of 133, and their run defense was nearly as poor, only six programs saw more rush attempts than Boston College.
They’ve added 10 three-star recruits, according to 247Sports, and return dual-threat quarterback Thomas Castellanos, who had a standout season with 2,146 passing yards, 957 rushing yards, and 26 total touchdowns. While their offense may be improved, their defense is expected to remain weak.
If Florida State doesn’t come out strong in Week Two, they could be in trouble. However, with Mike Norvell leading the charge, I expect the Seminoles to be ready. I think despite all the criticism over last week’s poor performance, DJ Uiagalelei, comes out and has a great game against an awful defense.
I’m picking the Seminoles to cover the spread.
