The Heisman Trophy race is coming down to the wire, with votes due on Monday, December 9th, and Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty has one more chance to make his case. As the Broncos face UNLV in the Mountain West Championship, Jeanty can showcase his dominance in front of voters one last time. With his standout performances this season, the 25/1 odds sleeper could make a late push for college football’s top honor.

Is There Value?
With zero value in Colorado’s two-way player Travis Hunter, there is a strong case for sprinkling on Boise State’s Ashton Jeanty at 25/1. In my eyes, Jeanty is the best player in the country. The “Hunter plays both sides of the ball” argument feels lazy—just leading your team in snaps does not automatically make you the best player in the country.
Take Colorado’s schedule, for instance: who have they really played? Kansas State when they were ranked 18th? A game they lost, where Hunter managed just three receptions for 26 yards. Meanwhile, Boise State faced Oregon—arguably the best team in the country—and lost by only three points. Jeanty? He put on a masterclass, rushing for 192 yards on 25 carries, averaging 7.7 yards per attempt, and scoring three touchdowns against one of the nation’s top defenses. That’s what the best player in the country does—puts the team on his back and delivers.
This weekend, Jeanty has another chance to shine as Boise State takes on UNLV in the Mountain West Championship. I could list all his stats, but let’s keep it simple: comparison graphics show Hunter’s position grades, while Jeanty’s numbers tell the story of a junior who’s rushed for nearly 2,300 yards this season.
Sprinkling on Jeanty to win the trophy is absolutely worth it. Colorado is at home waiting for a bowl invite, while Boise plays for a conference title. Voters have until December 9th to submit their ballots—don’t sleep on Jeanty. Shine bright, Ashton. Shine bright.
Sprinkle: Ashton Jeanty Heisman Trophy Winner (+2500)
