Jalen Milroe’s Heisman chances took a major hit after Alabama’s shocking loss to Vanderbilt, and his stock has plummeted. But with the second-year starter still putting up impressive numbers and key matchups ahead, there’s serious value in backing Milroe now. Let’s dive into why this 11/1 prop could be a steal despite last week’s setback.

Value Heisman Trophy Winner
Now more than ever, there’s value in taking Alabama’s quarterback Jalen Milroe to win the Heisman Trophy. After the Crimson Tide’s embarrassing 40-35 loss to Vanderbilt, Milroe’s stock dropped drastically. Last week, his odds fell to +200 during their big win over Georgia, but now you can get the second-year starter at 11/1 to win it all. Before the season started, this prop was sitting at 12/1, so if you still believe in Milroe and Alabama, now’s the time to buy in.
The Crimson Tide have a tough road ahead, starting with South Carolina next week. Then they face #8 Tennessee, #21 Missouri, #13 LSU in Baton Rouge, #18 Oklahoma in Norman, and close out the season by hosting Auburn. Milroe will have more meaningful matchups than his competition. Boise State’s running back Aston Jeanty (+200), Colorado’s Travis Hunter (+300), and Miami’s quarterback Cam Ward (+525) just don’t face the same level of competition. Sorry, but playing Cincinnati isn’t like playing Tennessee, and playing Hawaii isn’t like playing LSU. The SEC is still the toughest place to play.
Even with Alabama’s letdown after beating Georgia, Milroe is putting up fantastic numbers: over 1,200 passing yards, completing 73.4% of his passes, nearly 300 rushing yards, and 20 total touchdowns. He’s more in this Heisman race than the odds suggest. Does Alabama need to run the table to close out the season? Probably, but getting Milroe at 11/1 to take home the hardware is well worth the squeeze.
