With three regular season games left, Colorado has some semblance of control over its March Madness destiny, but the Buffaloes have little to no margin for error for a slip-up. A dominant performance tonight against Stanford won’t stack up with the wins that fellow bubble teams Gonzaga (at Saint Mary’s), Iowa (at Northwestern), and St. John’s (at Butler), and Villanova (at Providence) recorded this weekend, but it will keep the Buffaloes in the thick of the race heading into the final week of the regular season.
Stanford vs Colorado Game Information
- Matchup: Stanford Cardinal (12-16, 7-11 Pac-12, 3-7 away, 13-15 ATS, 16-11-1 O/U) vs Colorado Buffaloes (19-9, 10-7 Pac-12, 15-1 home, 13-15 ATS, 18-10 O/U)

A couple of weeks ago, Colorado’s NCAA Tournament hopes were in serious peril. A four-point loss at UCLA on February 15 was their fourth loss in five games, and it dropped them to 16-9 overall and 7-7 in the Pac-12.
Since then, they have righted the ship with three consecutive wins. The only real needle-mover in the bunch was a 24-point home win over Utah eight days ago, but any winning streak of substance is worth its weight in gold at this time of the season if you are a bubble team.
If they can double that streak by winning tonight and sweeping Oregon and Oregon State on the road to close out the regular season, they would have a decent case to be in the field ahead of the conference tournament.
With 22 wins overall and 13 in the Pac-12, sweeps of Oregon (#65 NET) and Washington (#72 NET) and home wins over Washington State (#37 NET) and Utah (#46 NET), and a NET likely in the 20s, the Buffaloes would head to Vegas with a chance to lock down their first Big Dance berth since 2021.

While things are trending up for Colorado, they are trending way down for Stanford. The Cardinal are currently mired in a five-game losing skid, and coach Jerod Haase is likely on his way out after eight seasons and zero NCAA Tournament appearances, barring the unlikeliest of runs at T-Mobile Arena.
But even though there are no postseason aspirations for the Cardinal to improve upon tonight, they can play a serious spoiler for Colorado’s chances.
Will tonight’s matchup in Boulder be competitive? Or will CU score some points with the computers with a blowout win?

Stanford vs Colorado Betting Analysis and Prediction
Has Stanford given up? Are they just a bad team? Whatever the case, things have progressively gone from bad to worse with the Cardinal.
Halfway through their Pac-12 schedule, Stanford was 6-4 in conference play. In eight games since, they have won just once, a 31-point home win over USC on February 10.
All five losses in their ongoing skid have come by double digits. The most recent one was Thursday’s 90-68 loss at Utah, who was coming off of a 24-point loss at Colorado the previous Saturday.
The loss against the Utes was all but set in stone after the first 20 minutes, as the Cardinal trailed 46-27 at halftime.
Will tonight’s contest pan out differently? That is not a likely outcome.
Colorado is just 2-6 SU on the road in Pac-12 play, but the Buffaloes are 8-1 SU at home, losing only to Arizona.
Of their eight home wins, six have come by double digits. The exceptions are a four-point win over Washington and a seven-point win over Washington State in their first two conference games, games that they won without Tristan da Silva (15.7 PPG, 5.4 RPG, 2.6 APG) and Cody Williams (13.7 PPG, 3.3 RPG, 1.8 APG), their second and third leading scorers.
So, things don’t look too good for Stanford at all, even though Colorado is just 4-5 ATS at home in conference play.
