NCAA Basketball Predictions, Odds & Best Bets: Tuesday College Hoops (11/19)

There’s College Basketball on today, so let’s get into it! We are back for some more NCAA Basketball action today! As always, we will be diving into the College Hoops slate to find our best bets for today! We’ve got a decent sized slate, however it is a very long season, so we will continue to pick our spots carefully.

NCAA Basketball Best Bets – November 19th, 2024

Quinnipiac vs Navy Predictions

Best Bet: Quinnipiac/Navy Under 149 (-110) BetOnline

Here we have a very fast team (Quinnipiac) and a very slow team (Navy). The Midshipmen are at home, so they will slow this thing down and control the pace of the game, plus they can disrupt Quinnipiac’s love for downtown.

The Bobcats of Quinnipiac come into this game ranking 22nd in pace and 76th in 3P Rate, shooting over 45% of their shots from beyond the arc. The problem is, they don’t make very many. Despite being Top 100 in rate, they shoot less than 22%, ranking 343rd in the nation. Against Navy team that does a good job of not only limiting three point shots, but also holding their opponents to a low percentage, I trust the Midshipmen to hold their own defensively.

Neither team does a good job of getting to the free throw line, and both are north of 280th in eFG%. They struggle to shoot the ball well. In what I expect to be a slow game, I trust Navy’s defense to show out and keep this game in the low 70s at best. Being short home underdogs could be some extra motivation for the Midshipmen to tone things down, limit the Bobcats possessions, and try to pull off this upset.

Lipscomb vs Kentucky Predictions

Best Bet: Lipscomb/Kentucky Over 160 (-110) BetOnline

These two teams RUN!! They run, run, run, run, run up and down the floor as many times as they can in a college hoops game, which usually results in plenty of points. Kentucky ranks 24th in terms of possessions per game, and Lipscomb is also in the Top 150, both producing over 70 trips up and down the floor per contest.

Lipscomb is a Top 125 team, so they aren’t any sort of slouch. Both teams love the deep ball, shooting over 32% from deep and taking over 42% of their shots from deep. The Wildcats are shooting over 40% from three by themselves, and despite this being a relatively high total, I trust the pace of these teams to cover.

Kentucky doesn’t force turnovers and neither team gets to the free throw line very often, but with both teams running fast and shooting plenty of 3s, I see the points piling up in this game tonight.

Florida A&M vs Florida Predictions

Best Bet: Florida A&M/Florida Over 157.5 (-110) BetOnline

Once again, we’ve got two teams that belong at a track meet. The Gators are 53rd in possessions per game and are hosting the Florida A&M Rattlers who are 111th. Now all the Rattlers have going for them is their speed and their love of shooting it from downtown. They rank 27th in 3P Rate, and although they aren’t the best shooting team, if you give them enough chances, they’ll be able to make it rain.

The Gators rank 16th in adjusted offensive efficiency, 48th in eFG%, and 13th in offensive rebounds. I see tons of extra possessions for the home team, and as I’m typing this out, I am slightly leaning for towards the Gators TT. Regardless, we ride with the over. Florida A&M does not play much defense at all, and they play a team that has scored 80+ in every game and 86+ in 3/4 contests.

Florida A&M has had 3 tough outings, playing @ TCU, @ SMU, and @ Maryland. They cleared this number in 2/3 games, against teams who were Top 100 in pace. The Rattlers combined for 175 points with the Mustangs who are slightly faster than Florida. I see tons of possessions in this game leading to plenty of scoring for both teams in this blowout.
