Buffalo vs Bowling Green Predictions
Best Bets: Bowling Green -7 (-120) BetOnline
Bowling Green is ranked 70 spots higher than Buffalo. At home, I trust them to cover this spread, especially because of the pace of this game.
Bowling Green ranks 64th in pace, but that number climbs to 34th at home, producing over 73 possessions per game. While their defense isn’t the greatest, they make up for it by shooting 80% from the charity stripe. Now, this is more of a fade of Buffalo. The Bulls are not good, but they will turn this game into a track meet. More possessions will translate to more BGSU points, leaving Buffalo in the dust.
The Bulls are north of 300 in both offensive and defensive efficiency, eFG% Defense, TO Rate and Offensive Rebound Rate on both sides of the ball, as well as 3P% Defense. They aren’t good. Buffalo is 1-7 away from home this year, and Bowling Green has a couple of tune up games before facing a real opponent. I expect their full focus to be on covering this spread tonight at home.
Missouri Tigers vs #5 Florida Predictions
Best Bets: Florida -10.5 (-107) BetOnline
Zip, zip, zip, zip, zip. These teams are going to be FLYING up and down the floor, giving the Gators plenty of opportunities to cover this number. After their shootout with Kentucky, Florida beat down Tennessee at home, and covered in a tough road win at Arkansas. Now they host the Missouri Tigers who don’t really play defense.
The Gators rank 75th overall in pace, Top 20 in offensive efficiency and 5th on the defensive side of the ball. Florida gets up and down the floor at will, shoots incredibly well, especially at home, but they strangle you on defense. I see them disrupting Missouri in a hostile environment tonight, and covering this larger number.
While Missouri is Top 22nd in offensive efficiency, they are only 76th on defense. Away from home, their numbers change drastically. The Tigers speed up on the road, ranking 117th in pace, but are north of 280 in both offensive and defensive eFG%. They give up tons of offensive rebounds and free throw attempts, resulting in plenty of 2nd chance points. Missouri has only played two true road games this season, and they looked terrible in both, losing to Memphis by 8 and to Auburn by 18. With the Tigers likely looking ahead at hosting the Hogs on Saturday, I see Florida dominating tonight.
