It is Championship Saturday in the NCAA Basketball world, as several conference tournaments wrap up today, with one lucky team punching their ticket to the Big Dance!
We have several major conference tournament finals happening today, so let’s take a look at what we will discuss.
- ACC Final: North Carolina vs NC State
- Big East Final: UCONN vs Marquette
- Big 12 Final: Houston vs Iowa State
- Mountain West Final: San Diego State vs New Mexico
- PAC-12 Final: Oregon vs Colorado
Let’s dive into the action!
Saturday NCAA Basketball Conference Championships
ACC Championship: North Carolina vs North Carolina State
ACC Championship Betting Odds
- North Carolina: -9 (-110)
- North Carolina State: +9 (-110)
- Over/Under: 145.5
Ultimately, I think North Carolina is much more talented team, playing a team that is riding a Cinderella high. The Wolfpack have won four straight games to get to this point, including overtime with Virginia yesterday.
I think the Tar Heels handle business and secure a 1 seed tonight.
The Pick: UNC -9 (-110) Bovada
Big East Championship: UCONN vs Marquette
Big East Championship Betting Odds
- UCONN: -9.5 (-110)
- Marquette: +9.5 (-110)
- Over/Under: 141.5
We get a trilogy between the Golden Eagles and the Huskies for the Big East Title, and I’ve gotta lean with the Huskies, although I think 9 is a big number for a Championship game.
Marquette will have revenge on their mind, but I think both team are able to put the ball in the hoop and give us a great basketball game. Let’s sit back and root for points!
The Pick: UCONN/Marquette Over 141.5 (-110) Bovada
Big 12 Championship: Houston vs Iowa State
Big 12 Championship Betting Odds
- Iowa State: +5 (-105)
- Houston: -5 (-115)
- Over/Under: 121.5
The Cyclones have been my pick to win the Big 12 Tourney since the beginning, and I have no reason to go back on that decision now. Instead, I’m doubling down. I’ve gota Cyclones future ticket at +450, and I’m tapping into them plus the points today.
I think this game will be incredibly defensive, and I do not think there will be enough points for Houston to cover this number and win. Give me the Cyclones to keep it close and win outright in the end.
The Pick: Iowa State +5 (-105) Bovada
Mountain West Championship: San Diego State vs New Mexico
Mountain West Championship Betting Odds
- San Diego State: -2 (-115)
- New Mexico: +2 (-105)
- Over/Under: 140.5
I like the Aztecs to win this game tonight straight up. Yes, New Mexico is essentially fighting for their life, but I think the Lobos are outmatched in this one. The teams split the regular season series, which makes me side with the Aztecs and defense tonight.
I won’t be laying the points and instead will just take the ML for a cushion.
The Pick: San Diego State ML (-135) Bovada
PAC-12 Championship: Oregon vs Colorado
PAC-12 Championship Betting Odds
- Oregon: +2.5 (-110)
- Colorado: -2.5 (-110)
- Over/Under: 143
Both teams are fighting to go dancing, and I gotta side with the sharpshooters of Colorado. Yes, the Buffs did beat the Ducks twice this season, but I think they can do it again. Colorado has won 8 straight games, and I think they keep the momentum rolling tonight.
The Pick: Colorado ML (-140) Bovada
