College basketball betting continues to have COVID casualties, as we lost another Baylor game today. It would have been a good one too with the Bears scheduled to visit a Top 15 West Virginia team.
With Baylor-West Virginia off of the board, the college basketball betting game of the day will now take place in Tallahassee. I am looking forward to seeing the top two teams in the ACC duke it out in prime time.
It is a light schedule for the power conferences so a couple of small conference games are included below.

February 15 College Basketball Betting: Best Bets
Washington vs Washington State, PAC 12 Network, 8:00 PM ET
College Basketball Betting Matchup: Washington Huskies (3-16 SU, 7-12 ATS) vs. Washington State Cougars (12-9 SU, 10-9-2 ATS)
Spread: Washington +7.5 (-110), Washington State -7.5 (-110)
Total: Over 142 (-110), Under 142 (-110)
Money Line: Washington+245, Washington State -320
The Huskies are looking to break a five-game losing streak tonight. They just hosted the SoCal schools and while the result against USC was lopsided, they held their own against UCLA in the loss. This team is not turning things around but sometimes they do compete. Against the rival Cougars, you would think they would come to life.
Washington State also hosted the SoCal schools last week. They beat UCLA before falling to the Trojans. In the loss, point guard Isaac Bonton left the game with an ankle injury, but he is expected back tonight. As the Cougars’ leading scorer, he is a key factor in the game. With Bonton healthy, the home side should not have too hard of a time. Also, for what it is worth, Wazzu has covered in four straight.
Betting Advice: Take Washington State.
East Tennessee State vs. Chatanooga, ESPN+, 7:00 PM
College Basketball Betting Matchup: East Tennessee State Buccaneers (12-8 SU, 11-7 ATS) vs. Chattanooga Moccasins (16-5 SU, 11-7 ATS)
Spread: East Tennessee State +1 (-110), Chattanooga -1 (-110)
Total: Over 134.5 (-110), Under 134.5 (-110)
Money Line: East Tennessee State -105, Chatanooga -115
The Southern Conference is good this season and both of these teams are trying to chase down UNC Greensboro at the top. ETSU has good balance with three players scoring more than 11ppg. But they are only 3-4 on the road this season.
The Mocs are the hottest team in the league right now, riding a four-game winning streak. Health is a big part of their current form and they have even more scoring depth. Four players are scoring more than 11ppg. When all of that is put together, it is hard to bet against the home team today.
Betting Advice: Take Chattanooga.
Stephen F. Austin vs. New Orleans, 2:00 PM ET
College Basketball Betting Matchup: Stephen F. Austin Lumberjacks (12-3 SU, 5-7 ATS) vs. New Orleans Privateers (4-12 SU, 6-8-1 ATS)
Spread: Stephen F. Austin -9.5 (-110),New Orleans +9.5 (-110)
Total: Over 152 (-110), Under 152 (-110)
Money Line: Stephen F. Auston -450, New Orleans +364
The Lumberjacks are one of three teams atop the Southland Conference with just one loss so far this season. They are a perfect 10-0 at home but road games have been tricky, they are just 2-3. SFA is one of the top offensive teams in the country, with the Lumberjacks scoring at an 81ppg clip his season.
The Privateers play small three, four and sometimes five guard lineups. That is not going to hurt them too much against the Lumberjacks but I am not sure they will be able to keep up with SFA. These teams did meet last month, which was an 11 point loss by New Orleans. They might be able to close the gap enough to cover at home but I don’t like backing teams based on regressive math. They need to show they can keep up.
Betting Advice: Take Stephen F. Austin.
February 15 College Basketball Betting: Best Bet of the Day
Virginia vs. Florida State, ESPN, 7:00 PM ET
College Basketball Betting Matchup: (#9) Virginia Cavaliers (15-3 SU, 10-7-1 ATS) vs. (#19) Florida State Seminoles (11-3 SU, 8-6 ATS)
Spread: Virginia +1.5 (-115), Florida State -1.5 (-105)
Total: Over 130 (-110), Under 130 (-110)
Money Line: Virginia +100, Florida State -129
Virginia is 11-1 in the ACC and at 7-2 in the league, Florida State looks like the only team that can catch them. The Cavs are in good form, as they have won 9 of their last 10. In more than half of those games, they have held their opponents under 60 points. The one that thing that this program does not have is great depth.
Florida State is the opposite, however. The Seminoles usually play 10 guys, sometimes more. They had not played in a couple of weeks, so they looked rusty against Wake Forest over the weekend. They needed OT, but they did get the win. FSU should be better in this next game but taking on the Cavaliers can make any team look silly.
I like UVA here but I am going to wait. I think there is a good chance we get a little more college basketball betting value closer to tip-off, so being patient is the way to go here.
Betting Advice: Take Virginia. (Best Bet)
