Will the most successful season in Utah Valley basketball history continue on into the NIT semifinals? It will with a win tonight in Orem over visiting Cincinnati (9:00 pm ET, ESPN2).
The Wolverines (27-8) missed out on the NCAA Tournament after winning the WAC regular season title, but they have a chance to make program history tonight after road wins over New Mexico and Colorado.
To this point, their only foray into the semifinals of a postseason tournament came in 2017, when they reached the CBI semis.
The Bearcats (23-12) have never won the NIT either, but they are three wins from doing so after wins over Virginia Tech and at Hofstra.
Who will book a ticket to Vegas tonight? Read on for our Cincinnati vs Utah Valley prediction and picks.

Will Woodbury and the Wolverines Be Too Much for the Bearcats?
After road wins over New Mexico and Colorado, Utah Valley is rewarded with a final home game in what has been an incredible season for the Wolverines.
Not only has it been an excellent season for the program, but it has also been an excellent season for those who have bet on UVU. The Wolverines are 23-9-0 ATS in their 32 games against Division I opposition, and they are 6-1 SU and ATS in their last seven games.
Unfortunately, that lone SU & ATS loss came against Southern Utah in the WAC tournament semifinals, costing them a shot at playing for the program’s first-ever March Madness trip.
But they have put that heartbreak behind them and impressed in double-digit wins at New Mexico (83-69) and Colorado (81-69).
After putting up ten points, eight rebounds, and seven assists in the win in Albuquerque, UVU guard Trey Woodbury had 25 points, seven rebounds, and seven assists in Boulder.
Cincinnati will have to keep a constant eye on Woodbury, who had a triple-double (11 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists) against Stephen F. Austin on March 3 and is averaging 13.6 PPG, 5.7 RPG, and 4.6 APG this season.
Will DeJulius Cook Up Another Big Game for Cincinnati?
Cincinnati has a talented playmaker to account for as well in David DeJulius. DeJulius had 21 points, six rebounds, and seven assists in the Bearcats’ 81-72 win over Virginia Tech, and he followed that up with 15 points and nine assists in their 79-65 win at Hofstra in the second round.
After recording five or more assists just four times in his first 15 games this season, DeJulius has had five or more assists 19 times in his last 20 games.
If he can dish out seven or more dimes like he has in each NIT game, the Bearcats will likely be in a good spot. In the 12 games this season in which he has recorded seven or more assists, Cincinnati is 10-2 SU and ATS.

Prediction for Cincinnati vs Utah Valley: Utah Valley to win
Picks for Cincinnati vs Utah Valley: Utah Valley ML (Best Value: BetOnline/BetUS/BetMGM) & Cincinnati/Utah Valley over (Best Value: over 147.5 @ BetMGM)
After handling both New Mexico and Colorado on the road, I’m not about to bet against Utah Valley at home, where they are 10-1 SU and 8-3-0 ATS against Division I opposition this season.
Also, while the under has hit in Cincinnati’s last four games, both of these teams have done a good bit of scoring lately. Over their last six games, the Wolverines have averaged 85.8 PPG, while the Bearcats have scored 79 or more points five times in their last seven games.
