Winning on the road in conference play has been a tough task for Kansas, but the Jayhawks have had no such issues at home. Tonight, they will look to remain perfect at Allen Fieldhouse this season with a win over visiting BYU (8:00 pm ET, Big 12/ESPN+).
The #7 Jayhawks (21-6, 9-5 Big 12) are just 2-5 on the road in conference play with wins at Oklahoma State and Oklahoma. But KU is 7-0 at home in conference play, and they have won 19 straight at Allen Fieldhouse since a loss to TCU last season.

Will they make it an even 20 with a victory over BYU? The Cougars (19-8, 7-7 Big 12) have had an up and down February, winning four games and losing three. Last time out, they fell 84-74 at Kansas State on Saturday. That followed an impressive home win over Baylor on Tuesday, which had been preceded by a loss at Oklahoma State.
Like Kansas, BYU is 2-5 on the road in conference play, with their wins coming over UCF and West Virginia.
Can the Cougars challenge for the upset in Lawrence? My BYU vs Kansas picks are below, but first, let’s look at the odds for tonight’s matchup.

BYU vs Kansas Prediction and Picks
BYU vs Kansas Betting Analysis and Prediction: Don’t Expect an Upset in Lawrence
Can Kansas thrive again without Kevin McCullar Jr.? The senior has missed three of the last four games with a bone bruise in his knee and won’t be available against BYU.
The Jayhawks are 3-1 in that stretch and have responded well to a 29-point loss at Texas Tech. After shutting down Oklahoma in Norman, Kansas tossed aside Texas with ease in an 86-67 win on Saturday.
All five starters scored in double figures for KU, led by Hunter Dickinson’s 20. On offense, the Jayhawks shot 61.5% from the field. Defensively, they were just as adept, holding the Longhorns to 41.9% shooting.
Another good night at home is likely ahead for the Jayhawks, who are 6-3 ATS in their Big 12 wins. A seventh Quad 1 win can only be beneficial to their hopes of making a late run at a #1 seed, and it’s tough to see the Cougars providing enough resistance when they have struggled so much on the road to this point.
BYU has allowed an average of 79.4 PPG on the road in conference play, and they have now given up 80+ points five times in those seven road games.
Kansas has scored 80+ points in consecutive games just once in conference play but should aim high tonight. A seventh Quad 1 win can only help their hopes of a late run to a #1 seed, and it will be all the better if they can do it by double digits.
BYU vs Kansas Betting Picks
Kansas -7
The Jayhawks are only 12-15 ATS for the season, but as mentioned above, they are 6-3 ATS in their Big 12 wins. The Cougars, meanwhile, are 1-6 ATS on the road in conference play, 0-5 SU and ATS when an underdog this season, and 0-8 ATS in their losses.
Bonus Pick: Johnny Furphy over 12.5 points (BetOnline)
Furphy has scored in double figures in 11 of his last 12 games after scoring 10+ only twice in his first 14 games this season. In that stretch, he has scored 13+ points eight times, including each of his last three games. Look for another productive performance for the Australian freshman.
