See Picks & Statistics For The GameOklahoma has been a disaster on the road this season, consistently struggling away from Norman. Their defensive metrics have plummeted, and their offensive production drops significantly outside their home gym. Against a disciplined and well-rounded UConn team, the Sooners could be in for a quick exit.

#9 Oklahoma vs #8 UConn Best Bet
The Oklahoma Sooners have been one of my favorite teams to fade in 2025, especially away from Norman. On the road this season, they have played nine games and have been underdogs in all of them, covering the spread in just four.
Oklahoma Away From Norman
Despite having a top-30 offense and a top-60 defense on the road, there are some glaring red flags. Oklahoma averages 83 points per game at home but scores ten fewer on the road. They are a mess away from their home gym. The Sooners are one of the worst rebounding teams in the country, send opponents to the line at a high rate, and struggle to defend the interior. Oklahoma has not improved on the road—they have only gotten worse as the season has progressed. Since February 1, they rank 282nd in eFG% defense, 291st in turnover defense, 331st in offensive rebounding, 339th in free-throw rate defense, and 321st in two-point defense. Offensively, they are just as bad inside, ranking 309th in two-point offense.
Healthy Huskies
UConn, on the other hand, is an exceptional rebounding team on both ends, ranking in the top 80 in both categories. The Huskies are also top 35 in two-point offense and eighth in two-point defense. Despite some struggles this season, they have turned it around to close things out, finishing their last 12 games at 8-4 with notable wins over Marquette (twice), Villanova (twice), and Creighton.
I do not see the Huskies making a deep tournament run, but they should have no trouble getting past the Sooners in the first round. I will wait for this line to do a little dance, make a little love, and get down tonight before locking in a bet. I am hoping for a better number if the public starts backing Oklahoma. I do not hate the 5.5, but I would love a better price.
Best Bet: UConn (-5.5) on BetOnline
