Heading to Northern Chicago on this lovely Friday evening, where the Loyola Chicago Ramblers host the #21 Dayton Flyers. These two Atlantic 10 teams are looking to end the season on a high note, hoping to win the regular season title. Both teams are tied for second place in the conference, only behind Richmond by one game.
Who will come out on top and solidify themselves in second place?

#21 Dayton vs Loyola Chicago Prediction
The Stank:
My deepest apologies to my Chicago natives, but I am fading the Ramblers in this one.
Loyola has been over-performing over the past couple of weeks, and this is the perfect time to fade them. They were on a seven-game winning streak before their loss to St. Bonaventure. Covered in all seven of those games.
Offensively, they have a lot of flaws. In their last ten games at home, they are 34th worst in offensive turnover percentage, 27th worst free throw percentage, and 15th worst in offensive block rate. Imagine playing in the comfortable confines of your home gym, and your team can’t protect the basketball, get shots blocked often, and can’t shoot free throws.

As for the Flyers, they have an elite defense, number one in the conference. Dayton is on the road this season in the top 15 in adjusted defensive efficiency, 3-point defense, and free throw rate defense. Offensively, they are solid on the road, one of the best teams in the country, shooting the deep ball. They are 27th in eFG% offense and 57th in adjusted offensive efficiency.
The Flyers being the more complete team in this matchup is why I love them in this spot. They should have no problem going into Chicago Friday night and take care of the over-performing Ramblers.
Sorry, Sister Jean, nothing personal.

Where to find more advanced analytics
If you are looking for advanced analytic websites for college basketball Bart Torvik and Haslametrics are my favorite two. They are free and very informative. Ken Pom is another great resource, but sadly you have to pay.
Remember, these are mostly used as a crutch. Do not let these be the end all be all to making wagers. They are not always right with their predictions. Use your plums, trust your gut, and remember you cannot win them all. If you have any questions my socials are below I am always free to discuss anything college hoops. Especially, if it is over a game that will have under 23 people in attendance.
