See Picks & Statistics For The GameAfter opening the new NBA season with a loss at home to Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns, the Golden State Warriors will be looking to avoid a 0-2 start tonight as they visit the Sacramento Kings (10:00 pm ET, ESPN).
In Tuesday’s opener against Phoenix, Golden State trailed by 15 at halftime, but they turned the game around and led by eight early in the fourth quarter. However, they were outscored 28-16 the rest of the way in a 108-104 loss.
Bet on the NBA This Season at BetDSI
Will they get off the mark for the season tonight at Golden 1 Center? In last year’s playoffs, they won there twice as they defeated the Kings in seven games in the first round, including a 20-point win in Game 7.
Are the Kings ready to take the next step after ending their playoff drought and nearly making it out of the first round for the first time since 2004? They tipped off the season with a resounding road win against the Utah Jazz, but a bigger challenge awaits tonight in their home opener.

Can the Warriors Avoid a Rare 0-2 Start?
If the Warriors fail to win tonight, they will be in a position that they have not often been in under Steve Kerr.
Since he took the reins as coach in 2014, the Warriors have started 0-2 only twice.
In 2019, they began the season by losing at home to the Los Angeles Clippers and on the road against the Oklahoma City Thunder. The following season, they opened with road losses to the Brooklyn Nets and Milwaukee Bucks.
That Golden State lost to Phoenix is not something to be too concerned over. However, the manner in which they lost is another matter.
Neither the Warriors nor the Suns shot very well. Phoenix shot only 44.2% (42 of 95) overall and 33.3% (11 of 33) from three, but they came out on top because Golden State shot only 23.3% (10 of 43) from three and 35.6% (36 of 101) overall from the field.
Golden State started the fourth quarter with a Jonathan Kuminga basket, but from that point, they made only five of their final 20 shots from the field, including two of their 13 attempts from the perimeter.
In Kerr’s tenure, the Warriors have the league’s best win percentage in games following a loss and seventh best win percentage in games as a road underdog.
However, last season, they were absolutely atrocious as a road underdog last season. In that scenario, they 6-18 ATS and 3-21 SU, ranking next-to-last in the NBA in both categories.
But the Kings didn’t exactly stand out in games following a win or as a home favorite last year. They were just 14-17-1 ATS as a home favorite (20-12 SU), and in games following a win, they were 26-24-1 ATS and 29-22 SU.
Golden State Warriors vs Sacramento Kings Prediction and Best Bets
Prediction: Kings to win
Best Bets: Kings ML (-135 at Bovada)
I expect the Warriors to shoot the ball better tonight, but I don’t expect the final result to change.
Best Player Prop Bets for Warriors vs Kings
Domantas Sabonis Over 12.5 Rebounds (-135 at Bovada)
Sabonis racked up the rebounds against the Warriors in the regular season.
- November 13 (at Sacramento): 22
- November 7 (at Golden State): 14
- October 23 (at Golden State): 14
In Tuesday’s game, the Suns got double-digit rebounds from Jusuf Nurkic (14) and Durant (10) as they went +11 (60 to 49) in the rebounding battle.
Look for Sabonis to have another big game on the boards, and the over on his points + rebounds + assists total (over 37.5 is -135 at Bovada) is also worth consideration.
