After capitulating in the second half in a home loss to the Brooklyn Nets, the consistently inconsistent Los Angeles Lakers will look to get back to the .500 mark tonight with a win over the Portland Trail Blazers (10:00 pm ET).

In Friday’s matchup with the Nets, the Lakers (21-22, 15-8 home) were facing a team that had won just one of their previous ten games and just four of their previous 19.

For a half, it looked like the Lakers might be on their way to a comfortable win. But after leading by six at halftime, they were outscored 68-44 in the second half and fell 130-112, falling for the 13^th time in their last 20 games since winning the NBA In-Season Tournament last month.

A better night should be ahead against the Trail Blazers (12-29, 5-17 away), who have the second-worst record in the Western Conference and have been terrible on the road. But Portland enters tonight’s contest at Crypto.com Arena with consecutive wins, which they have rarely done over the last year.
