Yesterday was the first day of the 2024/25 NBA Season with no games and it just felt so wrong. With 15 games on Monday night, everyone got the day off on Tuesday. We’ve got 12 games on today’s hump day slate, so let’s not waste time, let’s get right into today’s best bets.
Here are our best bets on tonight’s NBA Slate!
Chris Paul o24.5 PRA (+100) via BetOnline
It’s 2024 and we’re betting Chris Paul points, rebounds and assists; just hear me out. CP3 didn’t start the season looking great, he scored just 6 total points in their first two games; shooting 22% from the field.
Since then, over their last 5 games, Paul’s averaging 15.6 points, 9 assists and 4.6 rebounds per game; he’s doing that while shooting 56% and 45% from beyond the arc.
In this same span, he’s averaging 17 potential assists, 5th highest in the league and he’s averaging just 31 minutes per game. He’s now played 32 or more minutes in 3 straight and with the injury to Jeremy Sohan, I expect Paul to see an increase in minutes.
This is the third time these 2 teams will matchup this year, they split the first two games and things got a little chippy.
The Rockets and Spurs have been division rivals for decades and now that both teams have a bounty of young talent, these games have gotten that much better.
Lastly, let’s not forget about the years Chris Paul spent down in Houston. He played 116 games with the Rockets over a two-year span, averaging 17 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists.
Alongside James Harden, Chris Paul helped lead the Rockets to a 89-27 record with him in the lineup; as well as a Western Conference Finals appearance in 2018.
Back in H-Town, Chris is going to have to help spark this Spurs offense tonight.

Tyler Herro o19.5 Points (+100) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
The Miami Heat have made the decision their offense will now run through Tyler Herro. Herro leads the team in usage (26.7%) and he’s currently scoring 31.5% of the team’s points. He’s scored 19 or more points in 4 of the Heat’s 6 games, with one of the misses being due to foul trouble.
The Suns currently rank 28th in points allowed to opposing point guards, and we’ve seen them struggle with other opposing guards this year. Austin Reaves scored 23 and 26 in two games against the Suns this year, shooting a combined 59% in the two matchups.
Harden scored 25 against this same defense and Tyrese Maxey just put up 32 on Monday night. The Suns have struggled with the opposition’s back court this year, and now they face Herro; he’s averaging 21.8 points per game this year and shooting 48% from the field.
His 3-ball is dropping, he’s recorded a 44% shooting percentage from 3; taking just under 9 3P attempts per game. The Suns rank 18th in 3P percentage allowed and 30th in 3s allowed to point guards this year.
Look for Herro to show up in this big-name matchup, early in the season.

Jayson Tatum o29.5 Points (-105) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
We’re not going through the entire, long-winded pitch for Tatum one more time. We know the narrative, we know he’s mad, and we know the team’s been vocal about having his back.
Tatum’s averaging 30 points per game this year, shooting 48% and shooting a career-high 8.5 free throw attempts per game. He leads the league in 1st quarter scoring with 106 1st quarter points; no one else has cracked 75.
JT’s on a mission this year and tonight he gets an opportunity to show Steve Kerr just how good he is.
