Big Saturday, full of big matchups in the Association. I know everyone’s busy betting on College Football, but take a breather, and let’s talk NBA. With 10 games on the board, we’ve got plenty of spots to discuss, let’s jump right into our best bets.
Here are our best bets on tonight’s NBA Slate!
Derrick White o18.5 Points (-111) via BetOnline
The Celtics will be without Jaylen Brown today and that means a bunch of shots just opened up in the Celtics’ offense. Derrick White has been phenomenal for the Celtics this year, averaging a career high 18.8 points per game and shooting 51% from the field.
White’s averaging a career high 12.7 shot attempts per game this year and he’s been on fire to start the season. He’s recorded 17 or more points in 5 of the Celtics’ 6 games this year, including 17 points last night; shooting 38% from the field.
With the uptick in volume this year, White responded by shooting the ball well and becoming this team’s legitimate third scoring option.
Since joining the Celtics, White’s played in 25 games without Brown; he’s averaging 18.6 points 5.2 assists and 4 rebounds per game. Last year he averaged 22 points per game and shot nearly 10 3s a game without JB in the lineup.
This year we’ve already seen White carve out a bigger role on the offensive side of the ball, now in his first game without Brown this year; look for White to let it fly.

This Cavalier offense looks completely different this year. Cleveland scored 130+ points just 3 times last year, they’ve done that 3 times so far this year. The Cavaliers are coming off a blowout win over the injured Magic. They recorded 120 points and Mitchell sat most of the 4th quarter.
Now on the 2nd night of a back to back, the Cavaliers travel to Cleveland to take on their division rival; the Milwaukee Bucks. Mitchell played the Bucks 4 times last season, recorded 30+ points in 3 of the 4 games.
Fading this Bucks backcourt has been something we’ve done since the addition of Damian Lillard last year, and it’s been just a fruitful this year. The Bucks are giving up 119.6 points per game this year and currently rank 27th in points allowed to opposing point guards.
National Blowout Association
It’s been a tough task for the Bucks to hold it down while they continue to bleed points, but it’s not about to get any easier. Mitchell has gone over this line just once this year, averaging just 23.5 points per game but shooting 51% from the field.
Big reason for the drop in Mitchell’s scoring is just the fact he’s playing just 28.8 minutes per game. The Cavs have won all 6 of their games this year, winning 5 of them by double digits, and 4 of them in blowout fashion.
Mitchell’s seeing a 32% usage rate with the Cavaliers but he’s been playing so few minutes, it’s affecting his scoring output. Tonight the Cavaliers enter this one as an underdog, for the first time this year.
The Bucks are 1-4 on the season and desperate to turn things around. This is the first of a home and home with the Cavaliers, so look for the Bucks to keep this one close in Milwaukee tonight. We just need Mitchell to see about 32 minutes and we should see him clear this line.

Demar Derozan o23.5 Points (-110) via BetOnline – Get a $500 WELCOME BONUS
I don’t think one requires a long pitch, it’s Demar Derozan back in Toronto. Is it his first time back? Nope. He’s played Toronto a countless times now, he’s been back to Toronto with multiple teams and he’s always played well.
Derozan averaged 21.8 points, 5.6 assists and 4.7 rebounds in 9 games at Scotiabank Arena. It was still called the Air Canada Center when Derozan played in Toronto, but the building remains the same.
He’s one of the greatest Raptors of all time, even if his tenure with the team didn’t end the way he would’ve liked. Fans from all over come out every time he’s in town, and tonight on a Saturday Night, it’ll be no different.
DBo’s averaging 23.8 points per game this year, shooting 55.4% from the field and getting to the line for 8.2 free throw attempts per game. The Raptors are allowing opponents to score 125.2 points per game (30th), shoot 49% (29th) and they’re giving up 33.5 free throw attempts per game (29th).
The opportunity will be there, and you can expect Mike Brown and De’Aaron Fox to help facilitate a big return for the former Raptor.
