The Cavaliers were in action on Sunday as they picked up a 120-101 loss to the Brooklyn Nets, trailing by as many as 26 points. Meanwhile, the Suns aim to bounce back after falling 117-107 to the Boston Celtics on Saturday.
Could we see one of these teams hoist the Larry O’Brien Trophy? Potentially. Phoenix is currently tied for the fifth-best NBA Finals odds (+1800) while Cleveland currently sits 14th (+4000), per Bovada’s futures markets.
Let’s focus on the future later, though. There are plenty of betting opportunities available tonight, so let’s get into my Suns vs. Cavaliers predictions and best bets.

Suns vs Cavaliers Prediction & NBA Picks Today (3/11): Don’t Expect Fireworks
Donovan Mitchell is the Cavaliers’ best player, so it isn’t surprising that they’re struggling to win without him. The superstar sharpshooter has missed eight of his team’s last 11 games with Cleveland going 3-5 SU in his absence.
Some fans were hoping to see Mitchell suit up tonight, but that likely won’t be the case as he’s expected to be sidelined again due to his knee injury.
The Cavaliers’ offensive struggles were made evident in their loss to the Nets. Despite shooting 48.7% from the floor and 43.8% from deep, the Cavs only scored 101 points mostly due to their only recording 47 field-goal attempts (compared to the 88.0 they average per game).
Even though Cleveland has the home-court advantage, it’s going to be tough to score against Phoenix. The Suns have one of the better road defenses in the NBA, allowing 114.3 PPG (12th) on 45.9% field-goal (4th) and 36.3% three-point (11th) with the seventh-best defensive efficiency.
Donovan Mitchell’s (knee) likely absence could hold the Cavaliers back again.
The Suns are also coming off a loss, but that came against the Celtics — the NBA’s best team. On the flip side, the Cavaliers just lost to the sub-.500 Nets at home. Before that loss, Phoenix had notched back-to-back wins over the Denver Nuggets and Toronto Raptors.
Something that could help lead the Suns to victory is Devin Booker’s potential return to the lineup. The 27-year-old guard has missed the last four games with an ankle injury but is probable to play tonight.
Booker has been great this season. He’s averaging 27.5 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 6.8 assists with .494/.379/.880 shooting splits. The Suns also own a 62.0% winning percentage when Booker plays this season compared to 42.9% when he misses time.
It’s also worth pointing out the Suns are 5-2 SU in their last seven games against the Cavaliers, however, it was Cleveland that swept last year’s two-game season series.
Devin Booker’s potential return could be exactly what the Suns need to pick up the win tonight.
Even though the Cavs had the last laugh in 2023, I’m going with the Suns on the road tonight. Cleveland just isn’t that special without Mitchell whereas Phoenix will receive a huge boost if Booker suits up. Assuming Phoenix plays well defensively, the visitors won’t struggle to win.
As for the best bet, it’s gotta be the Under on the 220.5-point total due to both sides struggling to cover the spread lately.
Besides, the Under is 4-2 in Cleveland’s last six games and 10-0 in Phoenix’s 10 previous outings. Additionally, 10 of the last 13 Suns-Cavaliers matchups played in Cleveland failed to surpass the projected point totals.
Considering how three of the last four games between these teams finished with fewer than 220.5 points (including both of last year’s meetings), I don’t expect a ton of offense tonight.

Best Suns vs Cavaliers NBA Prop Bet (3/11)
There are a few solid Suns vs. Cavaliers prop bets to choose from, but I’m taking Grayson Allen to record over 2.5 threes made.
Allen has been one of the league’s best three-point shooters this season, averaging a career-high 2.7 threes made while leading the NBA with a 47.0% success rate. He’s finished with the Over twice in his last three games, recording exactly eight threes made on both occasions.
After the Cavs allowed the Nets to rack up 18 threes on 51.4% shooting, I see Allen pulling through again.
