After a basketball-less Tuesday, the NBA is back with a strong schedule lined up for Wednesday, Nov. 8. Tonight’s slate features an inter-conference matchup as the San Antonio Spurs collide with the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden for a 7:30 p.m. ET clash.
After a promising start to the campaign, the Spurs are in danger of a third straight loss after falling 152-111 to the Indiana Pacers on Monday. The Knicks, on the other hand, put an end to their losing ways with a 111-97 win over the LA Clippers at home to start the week.
Both sides have a ways to go if they want to become threats to win the 2023-24 NBA Finals. Bovada has New York in a tie for the 14th-best ods to go on a championship run while San Antonio is further down the list at 22nd.
If you’re looking to get in on the action tonight, this is the article for you. Keep reading for a Spurs vs Knicks prediction, as well as the best bets, latest game odds, and betting trends.

Spurs vs Knicks Prediction & Pick (Nov. 8)
It should surprise no one that the biggest headlines surrounding this game are that it’s Victor Wembanyama’s first trip to Madison Square Garden.
The Spurs’ superstar rookie has lived up to the hype so far this season. He’s averaging 19.4 points, 8.4 rebounds, 2.6 blocks, and 1.7 threes made with .462/.324/.757 shooting splits. On top of that, Wembanyama has been a non-stop human highlight reel.
Having said that, even Wembanyama’s impact couldn’t help the Spurs avoid a 41-point loss in their latest outing. San Antonio only shot 30.8% from three-point range while struggling to collect its misses, losing the rebound battle 49-36.
While some might chalk up the blowout loss to being a one-off situation, it’s worth noting that the Spurs now have two 40-point losses in five road outings this season.
Unfortunately for the Spurs, another poor rebounding and shooting performance tonight will likely hurt them. Not only are the Knicks the NBA’s top rebounding team thus far (60.4 RPG), but they also average the fifth-most second-chance points (16.6).
It certainly helps that New York has two of their best players averaging double-digit rebounding totals. Mitchel Robinson heads into tonight’s contest averaging a career-high 12.4 RPG while Julius Randle is right there behind him with a 10.4 RPG clip.
Speaking of best players, the Spurs could be without Devin Vassell, who’s doubtful with a groin injury. Adding salt to the wound, Keldon Johnson (wrist) is expected to be a game-time decision. Considering how the duo accounts for two of San Antonio’s top three scorers, their absence would be felt.
I like the Knicks tonight, especially because they’re the healthier team. But can they cover the 9.5-point spread? Well, they are 4-1 ATS in their last five outings as the favorite on top of being 4-2-1 ATS this season.
But even then, I’d rather take the Spurs to cover. I just can’t trust the Knicks to win by double digits. In addition to only accomplishing that once this season, their plus-1.3 average scoring margin at home is even less inspiring, nor is the fact that they own the NBA’s second-worst offense.
The Knicks will still walk out with the victory but the final score will be closer than the odds imply.
Spurs vs Knicks Prediction: NY wins

Spurs vs Knicks Best Player Prop
If you’re not backing the Over, you aren’t having fun. That’s why we’re going with the Over on Mitchell Robinson’s 10.5-rebound total as the best Spurs vs Knicks prop bet.
Again, Robinson is averaging over a dozen rebounds this season. He’s dominated the paint even more lately, tallying 13-plus boards in five of his last six outings — including at least 15 in each of the most recent three.
With the Spurs surrendering the fourth-most rebounds this fall, I’m feeling confident about Robinson making good on this plus-money tonight.
Bet: Mitchell Robinson o10.5 Total Rebounds (+100 on Bovada)
