The New Orleans Pelicans have been flying high recently, especially on the road, where they have won seven in a row. Can they make it eight? The Denver Nuggets await tonight at Ball Arena (10:00 pm ET, ESPN).
The Pelicans (23-15, 11-7 away) won only four of their first 11 road games this season, but they enter tonight’s game in Denver with only the Oklahoma City Thunder (11-6, .643) owning a better win percentage on the road.
New Orleans’ current road run includes wins over Washington, Charlotte, San Antonio, Cleveland, Minnesota, Sacramento, and Golden State. All but one of those wins has come by double digits, and the Pels make the trip to Denver after routing the Kings by 33 on Monday and the Warriors by 36 on Wednesday.
A third straight road romp would appear to be unlikely, given the opposition. The Nuggets lost by 13 at Utah on Wednesday, but the reigning NBA champions have a robust record in games following a loss.

New Orleans Pelicans vs Denver Nuggets Betting Analysis and Predictions
Prediction: Nuggets to win and cover the spread
If the Pelicans are able to cover the spread tonight, they will likely come out with the win based on results to this point.
In their 11 road wins, they have covered the spread ten times, and they are 6-4 SU and 6-3-1 ATS as a road underdog this season.
However, they are going up against a pretty formidable foe here, one that beat 134-116 when they met in Denver on November 6.
Best Player Props for Pelicans vs Nuggets
All picks listed below are courtesy of BetOnline unless otherwise noted. Bet these plays there and get a 100% BONUS on your first cryptocurrency deposit.
Nikola Jokic over 9.5 assists (-108 at BetOnline): Jokic had only six assists in Wednesday’s loss to the Jazz, but in the previous two meetings with the Pelicans this season, he had 18 assists and 12 assists.
Also, he is averaging more assists at home (9.4 APG) than on the road (8.9 APG). Look for a double-digit dime night for the two-time NBA MVP.
Jamal Murray over 22.5 points (+105 at BetOnline): Murray scored only 17 points (6 of 15 FG, 1 of 5 3PT, 4 of 4 FT) against the Jazz, but I expect him to have a much more productive night against the Pelicans.
In the previous four instances in which he scored 20 or fewer points, Murray bounced back with 32, 28, 25, and 37 points.
It’s also worth noting that he had three or more made threes in each of those four games. So, if you want to get some extra action in, over 2.5 made threes is -118 at BetOnline.
C.J. McCollum over 7.5 rebounds + assists (-135 at Bovada): McCollum has had eight or more rebounds + assists in seven consecutive games and 20 of 25 games he has played this season, including 9 of 11 games away from New Orleans.
Also, he had eight or more rebounds + assists in three of four meetings with the Nuggets last season.
