Both teams are red-hot at the moment. The Pelicans extended their winning streak to three games with Monday’s 138-100 victory over the Toronto Raptors. Meanwhile, Kawhi Leonard’s game-high 36 points led the Clippers to a 149-144 win against the Atlanta Hawks two nights ago, marking their fourth consecutive victory.
When it comes to representing the West at the 2023-24 NBA Finals, one team has much better odds than the other. While New Orleans is tied for the seventh-best odds (+2000) to win this year’s Western Conference Finals, LA sits second at +300, per Bovada’s futures markets.
There’s a ton of betting action to cover tonight, so let’s dive into these Pelicans vs. Clippers predictions and best NBA bets.

Pelicans vs Clippers Prediction & NBA Pick Today (2/7): Whose Winning Streak Continues?
Time will tell which of these teams continues to grow their momentum once the final whistle blows tonight.
The Pelicans’ three-game winning streak stems from some solid defensive play. New Orleans has held its last three opponents to a 104.0 PPG clip with 45.3% field-goal and 28.9% three-point percentages while winning by an average of 16.7 points.
It’s also worth noting that the Pelicans own one of the better road defenses this season, holding opponents to 112.6 PPG as the visitor (9th).
Nevertheless, stopping the Clippers’ lethal offense poses a different task altogether. Tyron Lue’s team is averaging 118.8 PPG this season (6th), which has jumped to 124.3 PPG over the last 14 games — second-best in the NBA during that stretch. LA also ranks sixth in field goals made, second in FG%, fifth in three-pointers made, and first in 3P% across that 13-game slate.
Kawhi Leonard and the Clippers have been among the best teams in the NBA over the last few weeks.
When it comes to the history between these teams, the Pelicans have won five of the last six matchups. They’ve split the season series thus far. New Orleans picked up a 116-106 win at crypto.com Arena on Nov. 24 before LA got some revenge with a 111-95 victory at Smoothie King Center just last month.
Even though the Pelicans won the last meeting in Los Angeles, they can’t get overconfident. The Clippers have been lethal at crypto.com Arena this season, going 19-4 SU (14-9 ATS) across 23 home games. They also enter tonight’s game on an eight-game winning streak at home, having won by an average of 12.9 points while going 6-2 against the spread.
New Orleans, meanwhile, is 3-4 SU/ATS with a minus-3.6 average scoring margin in its last seven road games.
As far as the injury situation goes, the Clippers don’t have any designations whereas the Pelicans’ Zion Williamson (foot) and Naji Marshall (back) will be game-time decisions.
All eyes are on the Clippers to see if they can keep their winning streak at home alive.
The Pelicans are solid, but I can’t doubt the Clippers due to the heater that they’re on. LA looks like a legitimate championship contender, especially as long as its stars continue to click. The Pelicans’ offense isn’t nearly as good as the Clippers, so the victory should belong to the home team as long as they can hit their shots early on and put the game out of reach.
With that being said, I’m not a huge fan of the 7-point spread, so let’s take the Under on the total instead. First of all, the Under is 4-6 in New Orleans’ last six games as well as 5-2 in LA’s previous seven. The Clippers and Pelicans have also finished below their projected total in six of their last eight meetings, averaging 216.9 PPG while finishing below 231.5 six times.
Considering how the first two games of the Pelicans-Clippers season series averaged 214.0 PPG, the Under is the way to go.

Best Pelicans vs Clippers NBA Prop Bet (2/7)
After checking out Bovada’s Pelicans vs. Clippers player props, I can’t say no to James Harden recording 10+ assists tonight.
Though he had a slow start to the season, Harden has been upping his playmaking performances lately. The 10-time NBA All-Star is averaging 9.8 assists in his last 26 games, finishing with 10 or more in 15 of those appearances. He’s also made good on this prop in six of his last nine games and is coming off back-to-back double-digit assist performances.
Furthermore, Harden has recorded 10-plus assists in five of his last six encounters with the Pelicans, including both of this season’s meetings.
