There were just a couple of games on the NBA schedule last night, but that was more than enough to post a 3-0 record on NBA props. I hope you were along for the ride.
Tonight, we have a whopping 11 games to choose from. I know sometimes less is more, but let’s ride this winning streak into the weekend.
Top NBA Props for Friday, January 28
The NBA props listed below are from BetMGM.
NBA Prop Pick #1: Anfernee Simons Over 29.5 Points, Rebounds, and Assists (-115)
Simons is a fun player, and it is enjoyable to watch his development. The simple fact is that as a starter he is putting up fantastic numbers and he is going to have that role until Damian Lillard comes back from injury (and probably beyond).
As a starter, he is averaging 21 points per game, seven assists per game, and three rebounds per game. This combo total is just below that and the best part about tonight is that he is taking on Houston Rockets, the worst defensive team in the NBA.
NBA Prop Pick #2: CJ McCollum Over 20.5 Points (-105)
Stacking another Blazers’ play here with them in Houston tonight. The Rockets give up the most points in the league, so it makes sense to take the Blazers’ most polished scorer as well.
McCollum does have one data point against Houston from this season and only scored 17 points, but sometimes it is best not to overthink these things. This is right at his season average.
NBA Prop Pick #3: Mikal Bridges Over 12.5 Points (-115)
Yes, I have recommended this prop before!
Bridges is often overlooked and tonight he and the rest of the Suns get to take a Minnesota team that lost last night at Golden State. The numbers are saying lots of points are going to be scored. That should elevate everyone’s numbers, but Bridges’ total has held steady.
A high tide raises all boats, right? He is going to get lots of minutes guarding the likes of Anthony Edwards, who is generally a lazy defender too.
NBA Prop Pick #4: Keldon Johnson Over 14.5 Points (-125)
I have to admit that Johnson has been better in the pros than I expected. He is averaging 15 points per game this season for the Spurs, so this is right at his season average.
He has been extremely consistent of late. In the last 10 games, he has scored between 13 and 18 points every time. I like that as a nice floor, and he would have cashed on this number in three straight games coming into tonight.
The Bulls are missing its best wing defenders too.
NBA Prop Pick #5: Ayo Dosunmu Over 1.5 Three-Pointers (+122)
Injuries to Lonzo Ball and Alex Caruso are giving the rookie more playing time than anticipated this season. He has played more than 30 minutes for the last eight games and while he is working on consistency, the opportunity is there.
His shooting comes and goes but over this stretch, he has made multiple 3s in three games. Most nights he is taking at least three attempts so there is enough volume there too. The return of Zach LaVine should also create some more open looks.
