The NBA has a pair of TNT national broadcasts lined up for Tuesday, April 2. The second of the contests sees the Dallas Mavericks (45-29) paying a visit to the Golden State Warriors (40-34) at Chase Center for a 10 p.m. ET showdown.

Both teams are on fire as they head into tonight’s tilt. The Mavericks extended their winning streak to seven games with a 125-107 victory over the Houston Rockets while Sunday’s 117-113 win against the San Antonio Spurs marked the Warriors’ fourth victory in a row.
But even though these upcoming opponents have experienced a lot of recent success, their championship odds couldn’t be more different. While Dallas is currently tied for the sixth-best 2023-24 NBA Finals odds (+2200) on BetOnline, Golden State is in a tie for 12th at +4000.
In the meantime, let’s focus on tonight’s NBA betting opportunities by getting into my Mavericks vs. Warriors prediction and best bets.

Mavericks vs Warriors Prediction & NBA Picks Today (4/2): Can DAL Take 3-0 Series Lead?
Tonight’s contest is a make-up game for a Jan. 19 game that was postponed due to the passing of Warriors assistant coach Dejan Milojević. Having said that, it’s today marks the third Dallas-Golden State meeting of the 2023-24 campaign and the home team is hoping for different results this time around.
After all, the Mavericks are 2-0 against the Warriors this season, winning by 10 points in each contest. The Mavericks first notched a 132-122 win at Chase Center back on Dec. 30 before tallying a 109-99 victory at American Airlines Center just three weeks ago.
Unsurprisingly, Luka Doncic was Dallas’ best player in both contests. Doncic, who has the second-best NBA MVP odds on BetOnline (+400), averaged 30.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 9.5 assists in those meetings despite only shooting 44.7% from the floor and 31.6% from deep.
The Slovenia superstar’s play is also a key reason why the Mavericks are 11-1 SU across their last 12 outings, averaging 31.0 PTS/9.9 REB/9.9 AST with a 39.0 3P%. Having said that, Kyrie Irving has also been solid during this run with a 24.2 PTS/4.4 REB/6.1 AST stat line.
The Warriors must figure out how to slow down Luka Doncic if they hope to beat the Mavericks tonight.
The Mavs’ 91.7% winning percentage over the last 12 games is also tied for the best in the NBA. During that time, they also rank fifth in points, third in FG%, eighth in 3P%, third in defensive rebounds, seventh in assists, and second in average scoring margin.
Although the Warriors are presently on a four-game heater, they’re “only” 7-5 SU across their last 12 games. They’re averaging the third-most assists and rebounds during that stretch, however, their 13.0 threes made (T-14th) and 37.1 3P% (14th) are noticeably below their season-long averages (14.7/3rd, 37.5 3P%/9th).
Golden State has also dropped four of its last five home games, allowing 119-plus points in each loss. That’s without mentioning how the Warriors own the seventh-worst winning percentage as home favorites.
Meanwhile, Dallas thrives as the visitor, sitting tied for the sixth-best away winning percentage (62.2%). Additionally, the Mavericks have won five consecutive road games heading into tonight’s contest.
The Warriors’ injury situation also makes them difficult to trust as Jonathan Kuminga (knee) and Klay Thompson (foot) will both be game-time decisions while Dario Saric (knee) is out.
As for the Mavs, Dereck Lively II (knee) is questionable whereas Josh Green (ankle) has been ruled out.
Stephen Curry could be forced to carry the Warriors due to their injury situation.
Even though oddsmakers project this game to go either way, let’s ride with the Mavericks. Dallas is, arguably, the NBA’s best team at the moment and has proven that playing on the road doesn’t put them at a disadvantage. With the Warriors being banged up and playing poorly at home, I like the Mavs tonight.
I’m also going to stick with the Mavericks on the moneyline. There’s some decent value to be had at -107 odds — especially considering how Jason Kidd’s team excels on the road.

Best Mavericks vs Warriors NBA Prop Bet (4/2)
While I’ve debated a few Mavericks vs. Warriors player props tonight, I’m opting to go with Kyrie Irving to record 6+ assists.
Doncic’s playmaking gets a lot of the spotlight, but Irving has been solid at setting up his teammates, too. The eight-time NBA All-Star is averaging 7.0 assists in his last nine games, which includes making good on this prop six times. Additionally, Irving has finished with at least six helpers in seven of his last 10 meetings with the Warriors.
With tonight’s game projected to feature 232 points, Irving should have more than enough opportunities to rack up assists at Chase Center.
