See Picks & Statistics For The GameA busy Monday night in the NBA is ahead, with 13 games on the schedule to watch and bet on. Of those 13 games, the lone matchup that will be broadcast nationally is in Memphis, where the Dallas Mavericks will take on the Grizzlies at FedExForum (8:00 pm ET, NBA TV).
The Mavs (13-8, 7-4 away) start this week third in the Western Conference, four games behind the Minnesota Timberwolves but only one behind the Oklahoma City Thunder.
After a run of six losses in nine games brought them down to earth after an 8-2 start, the Mavs have won two straight enter tonight’s game in the Bluff City, where they won 125-110 on October 30.
Bet on Mavericks vs Grizzlies and Other NBA Games at BetOnline
While the Mavs have won seven games on the road alone, the Grizzlies (6-15, 1-9 home) are still in search of their seventh win overall.
With Ja Morant serving a 25-game suspension to open the season, it has been a pretty rough start for Memphis. Things have been especially bad at home, which is in sharp contrast to last season, when their 35-6 mark was the league’s best home record.
But there’s a light at the end of the tunnel with Morant eligible to return in eight days, and it’s still early enough in the season that emerging from the lower depths of the Western Conference standings is still very much possible.
Can they help themselves out tonight and pick up a rare home win? They do own a win over the Mavericks in the most recent meeting between the two teams, a 108-94 win in Dallas ten days ago.

Best Player Prop Bets for Mavericks vs Grizzlies
Desmond Bane (Grizzlies) Over 3.5 Made Three-Pointers (+100 at BetOnline) & Over 25.5 Points (-122 at BetOnline)
Bane’s scoring average has gone up in each of his NBA seasons, and he entered his fourth professional campaign off of a year in which he averaged 21.5 points per game and shot better than 40% from three for the third consecutive season.
With Morant suspended, Bane has been counted on heavily in the first several weeks of the season. He has had some rough games, but he has hit the 30-point mark in eight games, including a career-high 49-point performance against the Detroit Pistons this past Wednesday.
He had only 16 points in 37 minutes in a loss to the Timberwolves on Friday, but he made four or more threes for the third time in four games in December.
For the season, Bane is shooting below his standard, making 38.5% of his threes. But across his four December games, he is shooting 57.7% (15 of 26) from three, as well as 56.8% (46 of 81) from the field overall.
In the Grizzlies’ win over the Mavericks on December 1, Bane led the way with 30 points (11 of 20 FG, 4 of 6 3PT, 4 of 6 FT), and he added five assists, four rebounds, and two blocks.
Look for Bane’s hot shooting to continue tonight. He has been a better shooter on the road (39.3% from three) than at home (37.6%), but that is still a very respectable percentage.
Also, you have to like his chances to have a productive night overall against the Mavericks, given that he also scored 30 points in Memphis’s home loss to Dallas in October.
Luka Doncic (Mavericks) Over 9.5 Assists (-113 at BetOnline)
In the previous meeting in Memphis, Doncic had 35 points (11 of 22 FG, 6 of 12 3PT, 7 of 10 FT), 12 rebounds, and 12 assists, one of his four triple-doubles thus far this season.
Two of those triple-doubles have come in his last three games, a stretch in which he is averaging 36.0 PPG, 13.0 APG, and 10.3 RPG. Will he record 10+ assists for a fourth straight game? I feel very optimistic about that possibility.
It’s neither here nor there, but it’s worth noting that October triple-double in Memphis was his second straight at FedExForum, as he put up 27 points, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists in a 27-point win there in January 2022.
If you want to back Doncic for a third straight triple-double in Memphis, he is +250 at Bovada to do so, which is very, very good value.
