After a bit of a rough patch, the Lakers are playing some great basketball, having gone 7-2 in their last nine games. Meanwhile, the 76ers seem to be back on track after avoiding a third straight loss with Saturday’s 127-123 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.

Lakers vs 76ers Prediction & Pick (Nov. 27)
It’s been a long time since the Lakers have beaten the 76ers, having not done so in nearly four years. In fact, Los Angeles has also lost five straight road games against Philly, last winning at Wells Fargo Center back on Dec. 7, 2017.
To put things into perspective, Joel Embiid and Robert Covington are the only players on either side who played in that contest, although the latter changed teams a couple of times since then.
Nevertheless, the Lakers are playing well on the road this season. While a 3-5 away record isn’t all that impressive, they’ve won three consecutive road matchups by an average margin of seven points, holding those opponents to a 109.7 PPG clip.
While the 76ers started off 6-0 SU at home this season, they’ve since lost three straight matchups in their own backyard. They allowed a whopping 123.7 PPG in those losses and lost two outings by multiple possessions.
Still, the 76ers have an opportunity to bounce back against a banged-up Lakers squad. Gabe Vincent (knee), Rui Hachimura (nose), and Jared Vanderbilt (heel) have all been ruled out of tonight’s contest. That’s without mentioning how LeBron James (calf) and Cam Reddish (groin) are expected to be game-time decisions.
Aside from Kelly Oubre (ribs), there aren’t any other 76ers ruled out. Danuel House Jr. (quad) and Jaden Springer (illness) are both questionable, but Philly won’t be hurt too badly if either player misses tonight.
I don’t know if they can cover the spread, but I do see the 76ers winning tonight. The Lakers’ rotation is a mess due to injury and things will only get worse if LeBron can’t suit up. If Embiid and Tyrese Maxey get rolling early on, it’ll be tough for the visitors to come back.
Having said that, let’s go with the Under on the 231-point total as the best bet. Lakers-76ers matchups typically aren’t high-scoring affairs, proven by the Under being 4-2 in their last six meetings, which featured an average total of 223.7 points.
Considering how the Under also being 5-1 in the Lakers’ last six outings and the team’s injury situation, I have a tough time imagining a shootout in Philly tonight.

Lakers vs 76ers Best Player Prop
After looking through the Lakers vs. 76ers play props, I’m taking the Under on Joel Embiid’s 32.5-point total.
For starters, despite averaging 32.1 PPG this season, Embiid has finished with the Under on this prop four times in his last five games. He’s also averaging the Under (31.6 PPG) in 10 career matchups against the Lakers.
Furthermore, Embiid has finished with the Under in six of seven career matchups against Anthony Davis, averaging a 24.6 PPG clip. Considering how the Lakers are allowing the seventh-fewest points to centers this season, it’s clear that the Under is the better option.
Best Lakers vs. 76ers Prop: Joel Embiid u32.5 Points (-121 on BetOnline)
