Well, this is the matchup we didn’t know we were going to get in the Semis but here we are.

The Miami Heat roll into the Garden to take on the New York Knicks in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals on ESPN and ABC.

Both of these teams pulled upsets in Round 1 and both of them did it in 5 games, as the Knicks knocked out the Cavaliers and the Heat surprised by knocking off the number #1 seed Milwaukee Bucks.

But, that is in the past. Now, it all comes down to this series and it begins today, in the Garden.

Prediction

This series is going to be a slugfest, given the circumstances obviously but more importantly how both of these teams play basketball.

The Heat are riding high, after dismantling Giannis and the top seed Bucks in 5 games on the back of just sensational play from Jimmy Butler.

Butler averaged 37.6 points per game in round 1 and made shot after timely shot all series long to lead the Heat into the Western conference Semis.

The Knicks will have the task of slowing down Butler and surely feel confident they can do that and handle their business just like the did in Round 1.

The Knicks were no match for the Cavaliers, as New York was able to cruise through the series in 5 games.

Jalen Brunson was fantastic all series long and I expect him to be massive yet again in this series to help lead the Knicks to possibly an Eastern conference finals.

In game 1, I am going to ride with the home team to take the lead and start this incredible series off with a bang.

It is going to be a fun one but I think the Knicks handle their business at home.

Jalen Brunson o5.5 Assists (-114) BetOnline

It is hard not to play something with Brunson here.

I wanted to play a Josh Hart prop but there were no lines listed for him at the time of this writing so I will go with Brunson instead.

Jalen has 6+ assists in 7 of this last 10 games and he has 6+ in 2 of 3 against Miami this season.

The Heat will surely want to lock Brunson down scoring as much as possible which will leave plenty of facilitating opportunities.
