Bucks vs Heat NBA Cup Predictions & Picks (11/26)
The Bucks enter tonight’s NBA Cup group stage showdown as one of the league’s hotter teams.
After a slow start to the season, the Bucks are 6-1 SU across their last seven outings and have won four consecutive games. Their latest effort saw them pick up a 125-119 victory over the Charlotte Hornets on Saturday as Giannis Antetokounmpo dominated with a 32-point, 11-rebound double-double while Damian Lillard contributed with 31 points, too.
Having said that, each of those wins came at Fiserv Forum and now the Bucks are on the road, where they’re 1-6 SU to begin the season. Even worse is the fact that Doc Rivers’ team has lost six consecutive road games, being outscored by an average of 12.0 points per game. If it wasn’t for the season-opening away victory vs. the Philadelphia 76ers, Milwaukee would own the worst road margin in the Association.
Adding insult to injury, the Bucks are also 1-6 SU across their last seven trips to Miami.
The Bucks have struggled to deliver on the road this season. Will that change tonight?
The Heat have done a solid job of recently building up momentum, too. Although things haven’t been perfect, Miami is 4-2 SU in its last six outings and has just won back-to-back games for the first time since the end of October, most recently tallying Sunday’s 123-118 overtime win against the Dallas Mavericks.
It was quite the back-and-forth affair, however, the Heat managed to escape with the OT win thanks to Jimmy Butler’s game-high 33 points while Bam Adebayo (19 points, 11 rebounds) and Tyler Herro (18 points, 10 rebounds) each contributed with double-doubles.
Another thing the Heat have going for them is their injury situation (or lack thereof). They’re relatively healthy entering tonight’s collision as Terry Rozier (foot, probable) and Dru Smith (knee, questionable) are the only players on their injury report.
Meanwhile, the Bucks are dealing with a slew of issues. While Antetokounmpo (calf), AJ Johnson (Achilles), and MarJon Beauchamp (hamstring) are all ‘probable’ to play tonight, Khris Middleton (ankle) has been ruled out while Taurean Prince (illness) is questionable.
Can the Heat’s healthy players, like Bam Adebayo, take advantage of the Bucks’ injury situation?
Even though the odds are close for this game, it’s a no-brainer to back the Heat here. Until they show major improvements, the Bucks simply can’t be trusted on the road — especially amid their losing streak in away games. The Heat haven’t been perfect at home but they’ve at least won back-to-back outings at Kaseya Center and have only lost to the Bucks once in their last seven meetings in Miami.
On top of that, Miami is 4-2 ATS in its last six games against a Milwaukee team that has covered the spread once in its last five road games played on a Tuesday. With the Bucks also being 2-5 ATS on the road this season, I can see the Heat winning this game by a couple of possessions.

Best Bucks vs Heat NBA Emirates Cup Player Prop (11/26)
With BetOnline setting Jimmy Butler’s projected point total at 20.5, it’s a no-brainer to take the Over (-107) as tonight’s best Bucks vs. Heat NBA Cup player prop pick.
After missing a handful of games due to a foot injury, Butler has been on fire since his return. The former Marquette product has hit the 30-point mark in back-to-back outings, averaging 31.5 points while shooting 65.5% from the floor on an average of 14.5 field-goal attempts per outing. The 35-year-old veteran now faces the Bucks, whom he’s had plenty of success against throughout his career — especially recently.
In his last eight meetings with the Bucks, Butler is averaging 32.0 points on .584/.469/.757 shooting splits while finishing with 21-plus points in all but one of those games. Considering how the six-time NBA All-Star dropped 56 points on Milwaukee when they last met in Miami, it’s easy to have confidence in Butler tonight.
Best Bucks vs. Heat Player Prop: Jimmy Butler o20.5 Points (-107)
