The Los Angeles Clippers travel to Denver to take on Nikola Jokić and the Denver Nuggets in a Western Conference Thursday Night Showdown.

The Top Dog in the West, the Denver Nuggets and MVP candidate Nikola Jokić, get a chance to increase their lead at the top of the West against the Clippers, who might be without their best player in Paul George.

In this battle of 2 of the better Western Conference teams in the league right now, who will come out on top and grab a big conference win?

Here is my analysis, a game prediction and a MUST BET player prop.

Jokić isn’t Jokin

I actually used this tweet in my article about the Mavs/Celtics GAME but it is so good that I am going to use it again here.

The product in the NBA is quite possibly the best it has been in a decade and that is because the Stars are shining as bright as ever.

Nikola Jokić is on this list and is firmly in the MVP conversation yet again. He is averaging a triple double since Christmas and is carrying this talented Nuggets team towards being serious contenders yet again.

Tonight, he gets a run at the Clippers, who he loves to play. The Joker has averaged 26 PPG, 14 RPG and 8APG in his last 10 against the Clippers and I think he will dominate again tonight. But more on that later 😉

In this battle in the Mile High City tonight, who will come out on top and cruise towards another Western conference win?

Prediction

The health and status of Paul George in this game make a huge difference but the 6 point spread gives me the impression that PG is going to sit this one out to rest his hamstring.

That said, I am going to ride with the Joker and take the Nuggets at home to grab the win and continue their hot streak in the West.

The Nuggets are 7-3 in their last 10 games and I think they ride the big mana again tonight to another win and cover the spread.

I also like Jokić to score tonight but his rebounding success against the Clippers was too good of a trend to pass up.
