With a dozen games on the schedule, there’s an action-packed night of NBA action to look forward to tonight. One of the two 7:00 pm ET matchups should be one of the better games on the schedule, as it features two of the hottest team in the NBA in the Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Clippers (30-14, 11-10 away), who are coming off of a highly impressive road win over the Boston Celtics, have won five straight games and are 11-2 in January.
The Cavaliers (27-16, 15-8 home) are coming off of an impressive win of their own, as they won by 12 at Milwaukee on Friday. It was a quick return to the win column for Cleveland, whose eight-game win streak ended at Fiserv Forum last Wednesday.

Los Angeles Clippers vs Cleveland Cavaliers Prediction and Picks
Clippers vs Cavaliers Betting Analysis and Prediction
Since giving up 134 and 145 points in two pre-Christmas losses, the Clippers have been outstanding, going 13-2 SU and 11-4 ATS.
When they met the Celtics at Crypto.com Arena on December 23, they were on the receiving end of a 145-108 rout. They got a chance to return the favor at TD Garden on Saturday, leading the Celtics by as many as 36 points in a dominant performance in Boston.
While the Clippers were the dog in that matchup, they are in a role that they have thrived in for this matchup. As a road favorite, Los Angeles is 9-3 SU and 8-4 ATS, not counting two “road” SU and ATS losses to the Lakers.
The Clippers also have excellent numbers when favored by four or fewer points, coming in at 9-1 SU and ATS in that scenario.
These are some tough numbers for the Cavaliers to contend with, especially when they are 0-6 SU and ATS this season when the opposition has been favored by four or fewer points.
However, the Cavs are 9-2 SU and 8-3 ATS in January, including 5-0 SU and 4-1 ATS at home. Also, they are 6-1 SU and 5-2 ATS in their last seven games following a double-digit win in their previous game.
There are compelling reasons to back either side, but I think the home team will be able to pull out the win.
Prediction: Cavaliers to cover and win

Donovan Mitchell over 29.5 points (-115 at BetOnline) & over 3.5 made threes (+108 at BetOnline)
For the season, Mitchell’s numbers on two days of rest aren’t good (21.4 PPG, 34.7% FG, 22.5% 3PT). But all five games have come on the road, where he is averaging 26.2 PPG for the season.
At home, he is averaging 29.3 PPG, and nine of his 14 30+ point games this season have come at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.
Also, Mitchell has made four or more threes seven times in his last nine home games and seven times in 11 January games.
Jarrett Allen over 10.5 rebounds (-130 at BetOnline and Bovada)
For the season, Allen has recorded 11 or more rebounds 21 times in 38 games.
That’s pretty good, but it is especially good when you consider that in his first 24 games this season, Allen bagged 11 or more boards just seven times.
Will his streak end at 14? It may, but riding the hot hand is the only move to make here.
