In recent weeks, the Toronto Raptors have traded away two of their best players, dealing OG Anunoby to the New York Knicks and Pascal Siakam to the Indiana Pacers. But there’s still some fight in the team, judging by last night’s 24-point win over the visiting Miami Heat. Will they be able to match that effort in tonight’s contest against the Chicago Bulls (7:00 pm ET, TNT)?
The Raptors (16-25, 10-10 home) got solid performances from Gary Trent Jr. (28 points, 8 of 9 3PT), RJ Barrett (26 points, eight rebounds), Scottie Barnes (20 points, eight assists, five rebounds), and Immanuel Quickley (17 points, nine assists, eight rebounds) as they posted their third-biggest margin of victory this season.
Tonight they will look to win consecutive games for just the fourth time this season, as the Bulls attempt to improve to 5-4 in January before they return to the Windy City to interrupt a busy road stretch with a Saturday night showdown against the Memphis Grizzlies.

Coby White (Bulls) over 19.5 points (-108 at BetOnline)
White, who is averaging 22.1 PPG in eight January games, averages more points per game on Thursday this season (21.8 PPG in four games) than he does on any other day of the week.
White’s FG and three-point shooting splits are also higher on the road (46.6% FG and 42.7% 3PT) than at home (44.0% FG and 38.2% 3PT), though he averages as many points on the road as he does at home (18.5 PPG).
After being held to 18 and 15 points in his last two games, look for White to hit the 20-point mark tonight.
DeMar DeRozan (Bulls) over 19.5 points (-129 at BetOnline)
In Monday’s loss to the Cavs, DeRozan had season lows in points (six) and shot attempts (eight).
Look for a much better night for DeRozan, especially given the opposition.
In the previous 12 instances this season in which DeRozan scored fewer than 20 points, he scored 20 points in the following game ten times, including each of the four previous instances that followed him scoring 15 or fewer points.
Also, in 15 games against his former team, DeRozan is averaging 22.1 PPG, 5.5 RPG, and 5.9 APG, numbers that exceed his overall career averages (21.1 PPG, 4.4 RPG, 4.0 APG).
In the two previous games against the Raptors this season, he had 33 points (11 of 22 FG, 1 of 3 3PT, 10 of 14 FT), four rebounds, and three assists in a 104-103 OT home win for the Bulls on October 27 and 19 points (7 of 16 FG, 0 of 1 3PT, 5 of 9 FT) in a 121-108 loss in Toronto on November 24.
R.J. Barrett (Raptors) over 27.5 points + rebounds (+100 at Bovada)
Barrett has gone over this number in each of his home games with the Raptors:
- Cleveland Cavaliers (1/1): 19 points, nine rebounds
- Boston Celtics (1/15): 24 points, nine rebounds
- Miami Heat (1/17): 26 points, eight rebounds
In nine games with Toronto, Barrett is averaging 20.6 PPG, 7.2 RPG, and 3.3 APG, and he is shooting 56.9% from the field and 43.2% from three.
