The 2022-23 NBA season rolls on with a new slate of games for Friday, Nov. 4. Two of the better Eastern Conference teams will be in action as the Chicago Bulls take on the Boston Celtics at TD Garden at 7:30 p.m. ET.
The Bulls are now winners of back-to-back games following a 106-88 victory against the Charlotte Hornets on Wednesday. Six different Chicago players scored between 10 and 17 points in the win, however, Javonte Green led the way with 17 points while shooting 7-of-7 from the field.
Meanwhile, the Celtics haven’t had much luck lately. A 114-113 overtime loss to the Cleveland Cavaliers on Wednesday handed Boston its third loss in the last four games. Only time will tell if the TD Garden crowd can give them the motivation to turn things around.
There’s a lot to take in before Friday’s Bulls vs Celtics game. Fortunately, Betting News has gathered the game’s odds while also having a prediction and best bet for tonight’s contest.

Chicago Bulls vs Boston Celtics Prediction and Picks
Bulls vs Celtics Prediction: Celtics 115, Bulls 109
Bulls vs Celtics Picks: Bulls +7 (Best Value: -112 at BetOnline) & Over 221.5 Points (Best Value: -110 at BetOnline)
This matchup marks the second time that the Bulls and Celtics will meet this season. Their first meeting took place on Oct. 24, ending in a 120-102 win for Chicago at home.
The Bulls managed to grab the win due to several players chipping in on offense, along with the team shooting 47.6% from beyond the arc. It wasn’t all offense though as Alex Caruso had a solid defensive performance, ending the night with a game-high +29 plus/minus rating.
Though the Celtics allow the 10th-fewest three-pointers, they still allow their opponents to make 36.2% of shots from range (No. 20). Having said that, Boston has only given up 32.1% of three-point attempts over its last three games, ranking 10th-best in the NBA over that stretch.
Another reason why the Celtics lost to the Bulls last month was due to Andre Drummond racking up 12 rebounds in 15 minutes off the bench. Boston ultimately lost the rebounding battle, 60-45, so it’s good news for the Celtics that Drummond is dealing with a shoulder injury and might not be able to suit up on Friday.
Something that also works in Boston’s favor is that the team is 6-2 straight up in the last Bulls vs Celtics games at TD Garden. The Celtics have outscored the Bulls by an average score of 110.5 to 102.3 over that span, proving how one-sided those battles were.
If the Celtics are going to keep that streak going, Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown must continue their play. Having said that, Tatum hasn’t had the most success against the Bulls, averaging 20.1 points on .383/.283/.826 shooting splits in his last nine games against Chicago.
The same can’t be said for Brown, though. In his last six games against the Bulls, the one-time NBA All-Star is averaging 23.7 points while shooting 47.9% from the field and 45.2% from three-point range. With Chicago being one of the worst teams at defending threes this season, Brown should be able to find some success.
In fact, all of the Celtics’ shooters should excel here. Boston ranks No. 8 in three-point percentage and No. 1 in threes made per game. Unless something goes astronomically wrong, Joe Mazzulla’s team should be just fine.
Due to superior three-point shooting and a history of home dominance over their opponent, I’m taking the Celtics to defeat the Bulls on Friday. Momentum may be on Chicago’s side, but its last two wins have come over struggling teams (Nets and Hornets), so I expect the Bulls to get a dose of reality from Boston.
