Tonight marks the end of the Bucks’ five-game road trip following Sunday’s 123-108 loss to the Utah Jazz. On the other side, the Suns hope to capitalize on the momentum from a 140-112 victory over the Washington Wizards this weekend that saw Bradley Beal record a season-high 43 points.
If you’re hoping to see these teams in the 2023-24 NBA Finals, you’re in luck. Milwaukee currently holds the third-best championship odds (+550) while Phoenix sits sixth at +1400, per Bovada’s futures markets.
There’s a lot to cover for tonight’s game, so let’s officially dive into this Bucks vs. Suns betting preview.

Bucks vs Suns Prediction & NBA Pick Today (2/6): Can Phoenix Finally Beat Milwaukee?
It’s safe to say that Milwaukee’s road trip hasn’t gone as planned. The Bucks have lost three of four games to begin the venture and are now 2-4 SU in their last six games overall. It’s also worth noting that they’re now 1-9 ATS in their last 10 road games.
On the flip side, tonight’s contest marks the Suns’ first home game since going 4-3 SU on a seven-game road trip. Frank Vogel’s team has been rock solid at Footprint Center lately, going 7-2 SU across their last nine home games. Having said that, they only covered the spread in six of those contests.
Phoenix also ranks 20th with a 61.9% success rate as the home favorite this season (13-8 SU) whereas Milwaukee ranks dead last with a 0.0% winning percentage as the road underdog (0-4 SU).
Having said that, the Bucks have won seven of the last eight meetings between these two teams, which includes winning the last three in a row by an average of eight points.
Do the Suns have what it takes to edge out a rare win over the Bucks tonight?
Another thing going against the Bucks is their injury situation. Brook Lopez (personal) and Damian Lillard (ankle) are both questionable while Giannis Antetokounmpo (knee) and Andre Jackson Jr. (wrist) are both probable. Even if the majority of the quartet suits up, it’s clear that Milwaukee’s roster isn’t at 100%.
On the other hand, the Suns aren’t dealing with any injury designations. They’re finally playing at full strength and look lethal when Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker are all rolling. The Bucks are a great team, but it’s going to be tough to silence the Suns ‘Big 3’ if the visitors aren’t completely healthy.
In fact, Phoenix has been one of the most lethal teams on offense over the last 13 games — a span where it’s 10-3 SU. During that stretch, the Suns rank third in PPG, first in field-goal percentage, third in three-point percentage, and fifth in average scoring margin.
For comparison, the Bucks rank sixth, eighth, 12th, and 10th during that period. Still solid, but it’s clear that the Suns are playing the better brand of basketball at the moment.
It’s clear that Damian Lillard and the Bucks face an uphill battle tonight.
In what should be a competitive game, I’m taking the Suns to prevail. They’ve been one of the NBA’s best teams over the last few weeks and look like legitimate championship threats now that the ‘Big 3’ is gelling. While the Bucks shouldn’t be underestimated, a 1-3 SU record under Doc Rivers doesn’t exactly inspire confidence. The home team should squeeze out the win tonight.
Neither side has been consistently covering the spread, though, which is why I’m taking the Under as the best prop. For starters, the Under is 5-0 in Milwaukee’s last five road games as well as 8-3 in Phoenix’s 11 previous outings overall. The last 10 Bucks-Suns matchups also averaged 224.3 PPG as the team combined for fewer than 243.5 points in all but one of those contests.
In other words, don’t expect fireworks tonight.

Best Bucks vs Suns NBA Prop Bet (2/6)
Giannis Antetokounmpo is projected to score 32.5 points tonight. While he’s more than capable of hitting that mark, I’m actually taking the Under as the best Bucks vs. Suns player prop.
After all, Antetokounmpo has finished with the Under on this prop seven times in his last 10 games as well as four times in his last six road outings. Furthermore, he’s “only” averaging 30.2 PPG in his last six meetings with the Suns, finishing with fewer than 32.5 points in four of those encounters.
With the Under also being 3-2 in his last five games against Kevin Durant, it’s clear that it’s better to lean on the side of caution regarding this Antetokounmpo prop.
