Bucks vs Magic NBA Predictions & Picks (1/10)
Tonight’s showdown is the second of the 2024-25 season between these Eastern Conference franchises. As usual, the Bucks had the last laugh when they notched a 114-109 win over the Magic at Fiserv Forum on Dec. 10. Giannis Antetokounmpo couldn’t be stopped with a team-high 37 points while Damian Lillard contributed with 28 points and nine assists.
With that victory, the Bucks improved to 17-2 SU in their last 19 games against the Magic.
There’s a good chance that trend could continue as the Magic head into this evening’s action following yesterday’s 104-89 SU loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves. Orlando couldn’t generate any offense as it shot just 37.9% from the floor and 25.0% from the three-point line.
It didn’t help that the Magic got off to a slow start, trailing by 13 points at halftime. That isn’t surprising, though, given that they average the second-fewest first-half points in the NBA. Conversely, the Bucks are averaging the ninth-most points through the first two quarters.
The Bucks have one of the best first-half offenses in the NBA this season.
Another reason to doubt the Magic is that they’re 5-8 SU in their last 13 games, which includes being held to fewer than 100 points seven times during that stretch.
Although the Bucks haven’t been perfect on their end of the court at times, they’ve held each of their last three opponents to 105 or fewer points. In other words, it won’t be surprising if the Magic’s offensive struggles continue.
Let’s also not forget the fact that Orlando is still banged up with a lengthy injury list. Paolo Banchero (oblique), Jalen Suggs (back), Gary Harris (hamstring), and Franz Wagner (oblique) all missed Thursday’s game and could be sidelined again.
The Bucks are dealing with issues concerning Antetokounmpo (knee), Lillard (calf), and Khris Middleton (ankle), however, all three men are ‘probable’ to play. Ryan Rollins (illness) is questionable, though.
The Bucks are expecting to have all of their ‘Big 3’ on the court tonight.
Don’t overthink things: take the Bucks to win while covering the spread in the process.
This game is the Bucks’ to lose after how the Magic have been playing lately. Simply put, Orlando is mightily struggling to score the basketball and Milwaukee shouldn’t have an issue taking advantage of this fact. The Bucks have already beaten the Magic by five points this season, so winning by at least one more isn’t too much of an ask — especially when the latter is 0-5 ATS in its last five home games.
Additionally, the Magic are only 3-4 ATS in the second half of back-to-backs this season.

Best Bucks vs Magic NBA Player Prop Bet (1/10)
Instead of focusing on a superstar, let’s go with Bobby Portis Jr. o10.5 points (-120 on SportsBetting) for the best Bucks vs. Magic player prop bet.
Portis is having another strong season coming off Milwaukee’s bench, averaging 13.9 points on .465/.381/.787 splits while playing just over 25 minutes per outing. The two-time NBA Sixth Man of the Year finalist’s performances have improved lately as he’s averaged 16.3 PPG in his last 13 games, finishing with the Over nine times (69.2%).
One of those instances occurred when Portis dropped 22 points against the Magic last month. The Over is now 5-1 in the former Arkansas product’s last six encounters with Orlando, averaging 17.3 PPG while shooting 62.9% from the field and 47.4% from distance.
After the Magic allowed 16 points to T-wolves backup center Naz Reid last night, I have full confidence in Portis’ outlook.
Best Bucks vs. Magic Player Prop Bet: Bobby Portis Jr. o10.5 Points (-120)
