Momentum is firmly on the Bucks’ side as they head into tonight’s matchup on the back of five consecutive wins. Meanwhile, the Celtics had their six-game winning streak snapped with Monday’s 121-118 overtime loss to the Charlotte Hornets.
There’s a high chance that these foes could face off in the Eastern Conference Finals come spring. BetOnline favors the Celtics at +145 odds to represent the east in the 2023-24 NBA Finals while the Bucks ranked second at +180.
Without wasting any more time, let’s dive into my Bucks vs Celtics prediction, the latest NBA odds, and the best bets you can make on Wednesday night.

Bucks vs Celtics Prediction & Pick (Nov. 22)
This matchup is the first between these juggernauts this season. The Bucks and Celtics clashed three times during the 2022-23 campaign, resulting in two wins for Boston — including one in the sole game at TD Garden.
Speaking of which, TD Garden hasn’t been the most welcoming environment for Milwaukee. The Bucks have dropped seven of their last nine trips to Beantown, which includes being held to fewer than 90 points twice in the last four matchups.
Furthermore, it was the Celtics who covered the spread in seven of those nine tilts. Things look promising for Boston to cover again considering that it’s 4-1 ATS at home this season, whereas Milwaukee is 3-4 ATS on the road and 5-9 ATS overall.
What could also make the Bucks’ night difficult is their injury situation. While no one has been ruled out from tonight’s contest, Damian Lillard (oblique), MarJon Beauchamp (ankle), and Chris Livingston (ankle) are all expected to be game-time decisions.
On the other side, the Celtics are healthy enough to defend TD Garden, where they’re 5-0 this season. Their dominance can be exemplified by the fact that they rank second in points scored, sixth in points allowed, and first in average scoring margin at home this season.
And while the Bucks have been solid on the road on paper, it’s worth noting that all four of their away victories came against the Nets, Raptors, Hornets, and Wizards — four of the Eastern Conference’s six worst teams.
It’ll be a competitive affair, but I’m taking the Celtics at home. They’re better and NBA Championship favorites for a reason and know how to handle the Bucks at home, as evidenced by their recent dominance at TD Garden.
But can the Celtics cover the 6-point spread? I’m saying yes. After all, the C’s are 5-0 ATS with a plus-19.2 average scoring margin in their last five encounters with the Bucks. While I don’t think Boston’s winning by that wide of a margin, it defeated Milwaukee by 41 points when they last met back in March.
With the Celtics also being 14-5-1 ATS in their last 20 games on a Wednesday, riding with the favorites is the best option.
Bucks vs Celtics Prediction: BOS wins
Best Bet: BOS -6 (-110 on BetOnline)
Bucks vs Celtics Best Player Prop
Based on recent history, I’m taking the Under on Giannis Antetokounmpo’s 29.5-point total as the best Bucks vs. Celtics player prop.
While the “Greek Freak” is coming off back-to-back 40-point showings, the Celtics know how to shut him down. That’s why Giannis is “only” averaging 28.0 points in his last four games against Boston, finishing with the Under three times.
Finishing with fewer than 29.5 points in five of his last six trips to TD Garden, I expect another quiet night from Antetokounmpo.
Best Bucks vs. Celtics Prop: Giannis Antetokounmpo u29.5 Points (-120 on BetOnline)
