NBA Betting: 3 Best Player Prop Bets for Halloween (10/31)
All NBA odds are courtesy of BetOnline as of Thursday, Oct. 31 at 10:55 a.m. ET. Odds from other sportsbooks may also be mentioned in this article.
1. Ja Morant o4.5 Total Rebounds — -143 on BetOnline
Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant is off to a relatively slow start to the 2024-25 NBA season. The former 2019 second-overall pick is only averaging 19.0 points, 8.3 assists, and 3.8 rebounds through four games and has been dealing with a thigh injury for the last few days. The Grizzlies need their superstar to step up with the Milwaukee Bucks in town tonight and there’s a decent chance of that happening — especially in terms of rebounding.
Although the Bucks are tied for allowing the 12th-fewest rebounds this season, they’re giving up seventh-most boards to point guards. In fact, it was only three nights ago that they allowed five rebounds to Boston Celtics backup PG Payton Pritchard, meaning there’s a good chance that Morant keeps that trend going.
Even with his thigh injury, Morant still managed to rack up eight rebounds against the Brooklyn Nets last night. He’s also averaging 8.2 RPG in six career meetings with the Bucks, which includes finishing with the Over on this player prop every single time.
As long as he’s healthy enough to play, I’m confident that Morant can tally at least five rebounds tonight.

2. Luka Doncic o30.5 Points — -130 on BetOnline
Luka Doncic is doing only things that he can do to kick off the new NBA campaign, averaging 26.8 points, 9.3 rebounds, 7.0 assists, and 1.0 steals in his first four games. His efficiency hasn’t been the greatest, though, as he’s only shooting 36.4% from the floor and 26.8% from deep. That’s eventually going to change and a date with the Houston Rockets is exactly what the Dallas Mavericks superstar might need to get there.
Even though the Rockets have been one of the better defensive teams this season, they’re still allowing the fifth-most PPG to point guards.
Doncic has also had a ton of success against the Southwest Division rival. The five-time NBA All-Star has finished with 31-plus points in each of his last six games against the Rockets, averaging a whopping 41.5 points on .529/.409/.812 shooting splits. If that isn’t impressive enough, he hit the 40-point mark three times during that stretch — including a 50-point performance, too.
It’s clear that the Rockets don’t know how to stop or even slow Doncic down, which leads me to believe that we’re about to witness another stellar performance tonight.

3. Lauri Markkanen o2.5 Threes Made — -115 on BetOnline
The Utah Jazz would love to see a strong performance from Lauri Markkanen when they host the San Antonio Spurs on Halloween night. The veteran 7-footer left Tuesday’s loss to the Sacramento Kings with a back injury, however, the Jazz are hopeful that he’ll be able to suit up tonight.
Assuming that he’s healthy enough to play, I love the idea of Markkanen tallying o2.5 threes made as one of my top NBA player props tonight.
Even if he’s dealt with some health hiccups, Markkanen is still averaging 2.3 threes made on 45.0% shooting to begin the year. He has a great opportunity to keep that success going against the Spurs, who are allowing the third-most three-pointers on the fourth-highest success rate. In fact, it was less than 24 hours ago that San Antonio allowed the Oklahoma City Thunder to shoot 17-of-41 (41.5%) from the three-point line.
Let’s also not forget that Markkanen finished with the Over in each of his three meetings with the Spurs last year while averaging 4.3 3PM on 54.2% shooting.
Markkanen will see plenty of touches if the Jazz want to win this game, giving him a great opportunity to finish with the Over yet again.
