The 16th race of the NASCAR Truck Series season will take place on Saturday afternoon in Pocono, Pennsylvania.

Pocono has a unique track layout, as it only has 3 corners. The triangular shaped track offers three unique turns with different banking and grade to each. This makes for plenty of passing opportunities and plenty of wild finishes.

NASCAR Truck Series at Pocono Best Bets

John Hunter Nemechek +450

Nemechek is always on the list, but he has good reason to be this week. He won this event a year ago, and he has 10 Top 10s in the last 12 races.

His lone win this year came at Darlington, where he started on the pole and dominated the entire race. He may not be having his best season, or at least the season he was expected to have, but Nemechek is doing everything right.

If he plays his cards right on Saturday, he may find himself taking his second checkered flag of the year. He is already locked into the playoffs, but a win would boost him in the playoff standings and secure a better starting spot.

Zane Smith +500

Smith leads the series in wins, Top 5s, Top 10s, and DNFs. He has not been knocked out of a race this year. In fact, he has finished in the Top 5 in 60% of his starts.

The fact that he finishes races should be a good indication that he stays out of trouble and knows when to cut his losses. He has 4 straight Top 3s, including 3 runner-up finishes. The man is on a mission to win the title, and no one seems to be standing in his way.

Smith is a smart bet this weekend. He is running at his best right now prior to the playoffs, and he should carry that momentum into the postseason. Look for win #4 from Zane Smith on Saturday.

Corey Heim +650

The long shot bet this week will have to be Corey Heim. He is driving part-time for Kyle Busch Motorsports and will make his 9th start of the year. He is one of the youngest drivers in the field, as he just turned 20 years old a couple of weeks ago.

Heim already has 2 wins this season as a part-time driver. His first career win came at Atlanta in his second start. The last win came at Worldwide Technology Raceway 3 starts ago.

The only downside is that he has failed to finish 3 out of 9 races this season. If he can stay out of trouble and get a good starting spot, it is definitely worth the bet. He has so much talent, he just needs to harness it on a regular basis.
