NASCAR Cup Series Toyota/Save Mart 350 Odds and Best Bets: Larson Defends Title as Others Look for the Upset

The 16th race of the NASCAR season will see the drivers travel back out west to Sonoma, California. It will be the second road course of the season, taking place at Sonoma Raceway.

Kyle Larson is the defending champion of the event. He executed all 12 corners of the track to perfection last year, and he will be among the favorites again this season.

The race is 110 laps around a tricky course with 12 unique corners. The track is 2.52 miles long, curving throughout the California hillside. There is a total of 160 of elevation change at this track, which means drivers have to be aware of the heavy breaking zones.

Chase Elliott leads the pack in the odds this week. His solid history at road courses will come in handy when the drivers take the green flag on Sunday afternoon.

Elliott has been one of the best on road courses in the field for the past few years. His dominance is showing in the lines as he holds the best chance to win this weekend.

Elliott is currently leading in the points standings, and he has 9 Top 10s this season. In the other road course race run so far this year, Chase finished in 4th.

Besides being the favorite this weekend, he is always a. solid bet to finish up front. He has gone through a rough stretch the last 3 races, but a road course may be just what Elliott needs to break back into a strong stretch.

Kyle Larson +750

Larson won this event last season, and he is a favorite to finish strong again. He did not have a good run at Circuit of the Americas earlier this season, so he will be hungry to improve upon that result at the 2nd road course of the season.

Larson has 4 Top 5s in his last 10 races and has finished strong in his last two races. He has a 9th and 12th place finish. in his last two races to help him improve his place in the standings.

Larson is currently 7th in the standings, but with a win on Sunday, it could improve his position further. +750 is a safe line for a driver like Larson. He is almost guaranteed a good finish if he can avoid mistakes and accidents throughout the early stages of the race.

A.J. Allmendinger +750

For a driver that is only running part-time in the Cup Series, Allmendinger’s line is out of this world. He has the third highest chance of winning on Sunday, and his win in the Xfinity Series last week in Portland has given him high praise.

As an experienced road course racer, he was able to pull out a win last year in the Cup Series as a part-time driver. He won at the Indianapolis Road Course in the inaugural running of the event.

Allmendinger will make his 7th start in the Cup Series this year. This is the best chance he has had at a victory so far. With his previous victories at road courses, don’t count out this part-time driver to take the checkered flag and earn you a huge payout.
