It’s an exciting time as ever to be an MMA fan because UFC 275 is quickly approaching. The thrilling pay-per-view event is taking place overseas at the Singapore Indoor Stadium in Kallang, Singapore on Saturday, June 11.
The night will be headlined by Glover Teixeira and Jiri Prochazka, but that doesn’t mean it’s the only fight worth looking forward to. Another intriguing bout on the main card pits Jack Della Maddalena against Ramazan Emeev in welterweight action.
Neither fighter has broken into the top 15 of the UFC’s welterweight rankings, meaning the victor of Saturday’s fight could finally crack the rankings. Only time will tell which man that ends up being.
Can Della Maddalena continue his impressive rise to the top? Or will Emeev get some of his own momentum with a victory in Singapore?

Della Maddalena Riding Impressive Streak
Jack Della Maddalena might not be the most well-known name ahead of UFC 275, but that might change at the right he’s going.
The 25-year-old Australian has had quite the impressive MMA career to date. After losing each of the first two fights of his career, he’s rattled off 11 consecutive victories ahead of Saturday.
Della Maddalena won his first-ever UFC fight this past September, defeating Ange Loosa by unanimous decision on Dana White’s Contenders Series. He then followed it up with an impressive pay-per-view debut at UFC 270, knocking out Pete Rodriguez just under three minutes into the first round.
While some fighters win in a variety of ways, that isn’t the case for Della Maddalena. Six of his last seven fights have been won by KO or TKO. In fact, nine of his 11 career victories have come from knocking his opponents out.
Fortunately for him, Emeev has been knocked out before, so it’ll be interesting to see if Della Maddalena can pull off the KO victory against his toughest opponent yet.
Regardless, the future looks bright for Della Maddalena and he can cement himself as a fighter to watch with a victory at UFC 275.
Emeev Looks to Get Back on Track
Prior to joining the UFC, Ramazan Emeev was one of the most dominant middleweights in his home country of Russia. After all, he’s a former two-time M-1 Global Middleweight Champion, owning four successful defenses — the most in the title’s history.
After defeating Sam Alvey in his UFC debut, Emeev moved over to the welterweight division. The 35-year-old veteran fighter has gone 4-2 in six fights switching divisions, already doubling his career loss total.
Emeev came up short in his last fight against Danny Roberts at UFC Vegas 40. Although it was a close matchup, Roberts eventually managed to squeak out the split decision win.
Emeev has also never lost two consecutive fights in his career, meaning he’ll do everything in his well to end Della Maddalena’s winning streak.
It’s going to be a tough task due to the way that Della Maddalena’s been fighting, but Emeev can’t let that get to him. He’s a former champion for a reason and even though it was in a different division, he’ll need that mindset to pull off the upset at UFC 275.
UFC 275 Betting Markets for Della Maddalena vs. Emeev
If fans are looking for a variety of Della Maddalena vs. Emeev markets ahead of UFC 275, BetOnline Sportsbook has them covered.
The favored method of victory has Della Maddalena winning by decision at +180 odds. That’s interesting considering how he’s had just one fight go the distance, which he won, whereas Emeev is 10-3 when his fights are decided by decision.
Speaking of Emeev, his favored method of victory is also to win by decision at +240.
It’s looking like the fight could go the distance, with BetOnline favoring that scenario at -164. However, if that doesn’t happen, the fight is favored to end in a first-round victory for Della Maddalena at +600.
Della Maddalena vs. Emeev Fight Prediction
It’s usually a smart idea to ride the hot hand, which is why I like Della Maddalena defeating Emeev at UFC 275. It’s hard not to like someone who’s won 11 straight fights and Della Maddalena has proven that he has all the tools to be a star.
As for the best bet, I’m taking Della Maddalena winning by decision at +180. Each of Emeev’s last two losses has come by decision and all signs point to this fight going the distance.
